Sasha listened. Listened, and didn't care, her anger continuing to grow. They all had passed, that brought them here. Did those pasts matter? Of course. Did that mean they were the same people, for the mistakes they had made? No. No. And someone from the Royal guard, accusing someone of murder? That was laughable. Sasha knew her history. The Royal guard had a lot to answer for, itself. And Shujin? She was now sure that he had been responsible for Lazarus's posioning. And she was sure the moment she let Lazarus go, Shujin would kill him. She wouldn't allow that to happen. She couldn't. "I don't care" she said, a curious calm falling over her. "We all have history. I think the Royal guard has the most disastrous history in Fiore. You aren't taking Lazarus, or anyone from this guild." She had always been told that your magic was more powerful when it came from the heart. She Shujin back again, and this time, ice left hand prints on his chest, even as it began to coat Sasha's arms,'and body. Transforming her, until she stood glistening, the power thrumming through her, coated in ice. "Ice queen." She thrummed in harmony, her thoughts aligned with her heart. Shujin wasn't her brother. Blood didn't make a family. She had always known that. Her family was this guild. And that was all she needed to know. "People change. How can you arrest a man, for another man's crimes? You can't. Lazarus is not the same man. And he has paid for his crimes, a thousand times over. A fair trail? You have already judged him guilty. He will get no fair trail from you." The ground beneath her began to crack slightly as ice, colder then she had ever made it, began to form beneath her feet. "You have no right to charge him, with anything. He isn't the first person to fall to Zefaf, nor will he be the last. I will not let you take him" She had unlocked something within her, she could feel the power, feel it in her every movement. Acceptance was a powerful thing. Her doubts were suddenly gone. She didn't care what her parents had kept from her. Her trails had led her here, and that's all that mattered. She was Phoenix Wing. She held the staff of ice in her hand, all weariness forgotten, all anger gone. She brought the staff down, shattering the metal cuffs. "You feel remorse every single day. I know this. You have done good, for a long time. You are not that man, anymore. If you ever were. I won't let you face crimes that the world forced upon you. Anyone of us could have done something like that, the fear of magic oppressing us. I don't care. You aren't leaving me again. I won't let you." Her voice thrummed with the power she felt, her emotions evident in what she said, and how she said if. "You big, dummy. I love you" she remembered the first moment she had seen Lazarus, just moments after stepping into the guild. She had been 13, shy beyond belief, and terrified. And then she had met his eyes, and it had all seemed to go away, for a moment. She turned once more to Shujin, her eyes blazing with fierce cold. She took a risk, her mind assembling facts quickly. Liana was queen here, just as she was in Edolas. Would she be enough of the same person to help here? She pushed Shujin back, using the staff, ice leaving a mark wherever it touched him, away from Elyse, not wanting the child to get hurt if things went astray. "Queen Liana will pardon Lazarus's crimes." She spoke with confidence, but she was well prepared to fight, and take Shujin down. Cold logic told her she might have to kill him, if it came to that, but she wouldn't. "If we must continue with this murmurer farce, then only the Queen can Judge Lazarus guilty" She looked to Master Jack when he put his input in, grateful for the back up, and looked back to Shujin once more.

Jarvis "Thank you, Jack, I'm well aware of that. Thank you for all you have done. I shall handle this" Jarvis said, eyes flickering to Jack, but quickly back to Shujin. He stepped up, wondering what more could go on, as Sasha showed magic she hadn't shown before. Jarvis hadn't had much of a chance to rest himself. And it didn't look like he was going to. But he had more energy then he had a right to be, after all, he had his lacrima. "You try and arrest someone in my guild, and you may as well arrest us all, boy. You want to rethink this foolishness, or shall I just kick you out to the curb now?" Penny perhaps Penny was projecting a bit. She found she didn't care. She found it incredibly stupid, what this woman was saying, "Tell me, if I plopped you down in a crowd of 1000, and you are supposed to know their names, faces, families, likes, dislikes, would you be able to remembering them all, and make sure that Jilly Jone is allergic to nuts, and Peter Motts is allergic to water, and sara jean is afraid of fire etc etc etc? No, so how the hell do you think Mayt could remember all the consequences within hours of receiving all the information? You should have told him, even if you can't use it" She shook her head, frustrated that this woman couldn't see the problem she had created. As if she didn't have enough to worry about, now she had to make sure that Mayt didn't kill himself accidentally because of this woman's stupidity. "Whatever. You obviously can't see your own stupidity and ignorance, and I should go make sure that Mayt doesn't get killed because of it"
