Shin Maru, Topaz
The suggestions to handle the matter seemed mostly unnecessary. Shin figured that they could get all the information they'd need to come to an accurate conclusion from Yamato himself. But that was provided that Yamato was going to cooperate. The assumption that his classmate would be willing to go along with the idea was soon squashed as the man himself practically exploded in rage, taking it out on the people around him. Shin's eyes narrowed and he crossed his arms over his chest, saying nothing as Yamato unwound on Paneru and then Daiki. His facial expression, however, grew to one of anger. Then Yamato began cursing at him. When he began to approach Shin, the crystal user notably stood up straight and tensed his body. He wasn't about to let Yamato touch him with his flaming hands, but it never came down to that. He was distracted by his phone, taking the call and seemingly forgetting that everyone around him existed. "You go too far, Yamato," Shin stated, surprisingly calmly. His eyes drifted to Paneru and Daiki, who received the brunt of the verbal abuse, before his gaze went back to the departing Yamato. "I won't let you do that again." While his voice was calm, the meaning was clearly a warning. Shin wasn't going to give his classmate the benefit of the doubt any longer. The next time he took it upon himself to assault the others, Shin was going to step in. I don't want to fight him, but he's so hard-headed. Hurting him a little is a small price to pay to stop him from hurting others, Shin reaffirmed in his mind. He remained still as several others took off after Yamato, showing no sign of desire to follow him. While they all wanted to take off into action, Shin knew this was still the time to think. He turned his attention to the remaining few, as Sentou already made sure they weren't going anywhere. "If what Takeshi is saying is true, and Daiki wasn't lying either..." Shin began thinking aloud, bringing a hand to his chin. "Then the Yakuza and Jashin are connected in some way right now. Something must've happened, because these murders are new. Yamato wouldn't tell us anything, but it seems to me that his family is also involved, personally." He hummed to himself for a moment, reviewing what he heard in his head. "Jashinists killed several of our classmates seemingly randomly. But... they were perhaps trying to kill someone specific. For an ancient cult to come out after all this time, they must have a reason."

Tsukiko Umene, Honeybadger
Unceremoniously and without warning, Tsukiko opened the door to Fujitora's office and casually walked in. Her hands and most of her forearms were stained with blood, but it seemed mostly dry. "I examined the body," she began, sitting down in one of the chairs along the wall of the room. She was clearly unclean, but Tsukiko didn't seem to care if Fujitora was bothered by the possibility of cleaning up blood. "Lab says nothing unusual in the blood, besides the drug you gave him. Stomach contents had nothing suspicious, seems that he ate mostly rice. Probably explains why he was so weak. But the death seal he had was placed on his lungs." Tsukiko paused for a moment, to let the strangeness of the idea sink in. "Most people would put the death seal on the heart, to instantly kill when triggered. Placing it on the lungs will kill quickly, but it is also more painful. Probably a lot more painful. So whoever did it didn't just want to keep the guy quiet, but to also punish him in case he revealed information." Tsukiko let out a sigh. "It's a pain in the ass. The seal was generic as far as I can tell, no real calling card. His organs haven't been discarded yet if you want to see for yourself... Oh, damnit." The woman had crossed her legs when she sat down, and only now noticed that there was some blood on her right boot. "I just bought these this week."
