Has pinkish-brown hair with a mind of its own - so she wrangles it into tightly-bound pigtails to keep it under control. (It's longer than it looks, too; it's almost doubled over in its binding.) Her eyes are cinnamon red. The outfit she's wearing is her self-styled "adventuring" outfit, in no way practical but fun to have made. Personality: Is airheaded/flighty and brashly overconfident in turns. She's kind of bossy and takes it for granted that things will go her way, and as a result tends to underperform with the expectation that natural talent will carry her through any given situation. Hasn't really had much contact with the "real world" but is sure that she's more than capable of handling it. Background/Info: Sophia lives at home with her mother, a seamstress and serious businesswoman in their town. Her father is rarely home, but he is well-known as the King's necromancer (the king is almost certainly an evil one). All the same, he is highly regarded, as in spite of the king's own disposition, Sophia's father is a kind man and a prodigy. While her mother attempts to get Sophia to commit to making plans for her future - namely, to take her apprenticeship seriously and to work toward following in her footsteps - Sophia (who is certain she's going to make an excellent tailor so calm down, Mom) is studying the art of necromancy in the magic department of the town's university. After all, there's no reason you can't follow in both parents' footsteps, right? Besides, think of all the extra hands you could raise from the grave to help around the shop! Think of the advertising opportunities! When by a fluke Sophia receives passing credit for her necromancy course, thus releasing her from university for the summer, several things happen in quick succession. First, the King, who has been issuing cagey, oppressive decrees across the kingdom, begins making mumbling warlike noises about the neighboring kingdom(s). Second, Sophia's father, who has missed a few of his scheduled visits home, fails to react to the news of Sophia's passing grade, which really he should be pretty excited about. Third, an old ex-hero squatting somewhere around the outskirts of town comes out of retirement with the intention of confronting the King and begins making preparations to set out for the castle. Fourth, Sophia decides that, all things being equal, she's more than ready to start seeing the world herself, so she might as well make herself a member of that adventuring party. That way she can do something proactive and visit her dad at the same time! From there the story unfolds.
