[/quote] I've done a couple of match making role plays myself and pissed off a fair amount of people because they were the most unconventional pairings as well. So I don't mind being told who my character is paired with. It's the fact that you announced the pairings outright so the players could actually make characters who they feel would fit perfectly together if they really wanted to. Waiting until all the characters were made and then picking pairings based on the actual characters would have done your role play lots more justice and had a little more interesting outcome concerning it.
