Actually, I planned him to eat a "salad" made from the same exotic flowers as what you find in the Holy Garden (since elves can eat plants like a herbivore) just to reinforce that picture. I may still include this in the emperor's short bio, though. He's basically living on strict flower diet for a few decades now, eating exotic flowers which would cost for others their entire fortune. THREE TIMES A DAY.

But seriously, the elite could be a bunch of snobbish plutocratic douchebags but they tend to control themselves when seen by anyone outside their circle.
Non-noble elves are also pretty much alright. They can be quite patriotic and some have a sense of superiority but they are pretty much like any other person.

So you pretty much dodged the bullet here.
Like I said, just don't attend any religious events with Yllendthyr. You'd die of brain hemorrhage somewhere during halfway.
