He is muscular, but not in a bulky sense - in fact he has quite a typical build, yet he is in peak physical condition. His physique allows him to move with agility, yet still have considerable strength if thrown in to a hand-to-hand combat scenario. The plates on his face are a grey darker than that of the average Turian, appearing almost black. Over the years he has suffered some grave injuries, and as a result small cracks and scars remain on his face. He wears paint on his face at all times to commemorate his colony of origin - due to the fact it never leaves his face, it is essentially a feature of his. Madran is mostly seen in his black armour - it is medium in weight and practical in it's constraints, allowing him to move quickly and freely. If ever he is in a casual environment, such as a club or his own home, he would likely wear something fairly smart, yet relaxed. His outfits are costly and always ceremonious to some degree.
Madran Deltis

The Scoundrel

Civilian Information
Species: Turian Age: 28 Gender: Male Height: Slightly below average Weight: Average Class: Soldier/Infiltrator Biotic potency: No
Military Background
Years Spent in Active Combat: 11 years or so. Give or take a few months. Armaments: Assault Rifle, Pistol, Battle rifle, combat knives Armor: Medium Armour Advance Specializations: Commando Skillset: Madran considers himself dangerous in two ways - physically and mentally. On the battlefield he is an excellent footsoldier, specializing in close-range fire-fights and hand-to-hand combat. He also, however, considers himself to have somewhat of a golden tongue, meaning he can talk his way out of a lot of things, including, but not limited to, getting his head blown off by a shotgun.
Psychological Analysis
Traits:

Charismatic: He is a people person. He knows how to get what he wants using words. He is persuasive and can charm his way out of things, but can also be intimidating. He can lie like a pro. Of course, his words don't work on everyone, but they've got him this far.
Popular: Madran has lots of connections. Over the years he has used his charisma to obtain quite a long list of contacts.
Workaholic: When Madran needs to have his head in the game, he is 100% focused. He believes in doing a job well. Whilst he may have a lavish casual life, he doesn't mess around when things get serious. To get where he is now, he had to work hard.
Flaws:

Alcoholic: Madran is a heavy drinker, spending almost every night at a bar, or drinking in his own accommodation. He is not the sort of person that becomes violent and primal when he drinks, but alcohol does have a detrimental effect on him, weakening his senses and making him vulnerable to trickery as well as physical harm. He goes from being very sharp during the day, to very dopey and slow at night time.
Lustful: Madran is a big fan of coitus. He has been with many women of many different races. How is this a flaw, you ask? Well, Madran's mind is clouded when testosterone comes in to the picture, and he could easily be exploited or backstabbed in an intimate situation.
Merciful to certain demographics: Madran could never bring himself to harm a child, or an unarmed woman. This, to many, is considered a weakness. He does not have what it takes to take an innocent life.
Lots of enemies: Madran may have a lot of friends, but to obtain them he required confidence. In a place like Omega confidence is almost synonymous with arrogance, so a lot of people are not too fond of him. With lots of friends come lots of enemies. Plus, he doesn't really care if he offends someone.
Vulnerable to close ones: Madran has hundreds of connections. People who he would call friends, but, in reality, they are just connections to him. He will wear a fake smile and talk in a fake tone to most of them. He never lets his guard down - unless someone is really close to him. In event of that happening, he completely lets his guard down and his loyalty and care for those he chooses to become close with grows massively, so much so that he could easily be manipulated by it. If a friend was kidnapped, he would go to the edge of the galaxy for them and risk his own life. Also, if someone was really good at faking affection, they could also befriend Madran and manipulate him, and he'd do whatever they asked of him because they had earned his friendship.
Pysch Profile: Madran considers himself a smart man. Intuitive. Well versed in the workings of the world. He is an avid reader, and an eager learner. Most people do not see him as an intelligent man, however, as he typically uses his 'smarts' to trick and connive. He is a wily liar, and can almost always find a way to get what he wants. He's persuasive. Charming, if he wants to be. He is almost always putting on an act, the sort of act that screams "asshole". He plays a character in truth. Arrogant and crude. He is probably a much nicer person below his ruse, but he has been playing it for so long that it has become part of him. He doesn't have family and he doesn't have friends. He may tell people that they are his friend, but it is usually a tactical move when he does such a thing. He makes very sure that he doesn't care for someone too much. He knows that every single person that becomes sentimental to him will just become another weakness. Something to hold him back, or to be used against him. Instead, he follows the time old rule of "keep your enemies closer." Whenever he starts to get lonely he just drinks a lot and finds another one-night-stand to wipe his memory clean. When with friendly people, such as the team, he is generally light-hearted and sarcastic in his way of speaking. He acts with more tact and kindness to the team than he does to anyone else, but some are still less than fond of him - this doesn't phase him, however, as he acknowledges the fact that he is a very unlike-able person, especially to those who struggle to loosen up. With those who will allow it in the group, he enjoys some good banter. Deep under Madran's self-obsessed exterior is a more caring and kind Turian. He doesn't often drop the charade, but he does care about a few people. Even if he wishes he didn't. His past is what causes his pain, and what makes him want to fight alongside the team. He isn't a hero, but maybe he could have been had his life turned out a little differently. Backstory: When people meet Madran, many assume that luxury is a second nature to him. That he was born in to wealth, and he has stayed in it for all his days. But that isn't true. It's something he has acquired. He caught a taste of a life of luxury, and it tasted good. Made him want more, and he made his own way in the world. Made his own look. His childhood has nothing to do with it. In fact, it's almost the complete opposite. Yes, Madran's father was a wealthy man, a reputable Palaven politician - but his mother was not. Some young impressionable Turian girl he had met in a bar one day. And that was how Madran came to be. The bastard son of a careless senator and an overly-trusting lovestruck girl who, for some reason, took a politicians word as truth when he promised to wed her. He left one day, on 'business', and never returned, of course. She was broken by it, but she soon moved on and before long, Madran had a step-father - who hated him, verbally abusing him constantly. This led to Madran being a very weak and low-self esteemed boy when he was young. Due to his sketchy home life, Madran spent most of his time out on the streets, and because he was from one of the less-well-guarded areas of Palaven, he was taught one or two things that he would have not learned elsewhere. He learned to steal and to fistight - and oh boy, was he good at fistfighting. A natural. That's where violence first became part of Madran's life, and it was here to stay. He got a kick out of winning a fight - adrenaline. He liked winning. Another thing that Madran picked up on the street was his ability to lie. To charm. To trick. It came to him naturally in time, and he used it to his advantage to get himself out of some sticky situations. When Madran came of age, he applied to fight as a soldier for Palaven. He enjoyed fighting. He was good at it. He became even better once he had gone through the rigorous training, which, on Palaven, is of a very high standard. Turians aren't the best soldier for no reason. Hard work, discipline and good training equates to that - all of which Madran received. He had transformed from a weak boy to a powerful man. Around the age of 20, Madran met his father by chance. At first, they weren't aware they were related, but soon it became apparent. Madran clung to him, despite being abandoned, and his father reciprocated the love, which was odd considering he had upped and left all those years ago. His father was a cold man. Serious, and calculated, as many politicians are, but he cared for Madran. Madran re-established a relationship with his father, and the two often spoke. He no longer talked with his mother, or step-father, as neither really cared about him. During his service as a soldier, Madran was sent to serve as a guard on a small Turian colony by his father. It didn't seem very important, but his father had been insistent, so he followed along with it. He met a Turian girl on the colony, and eventually fell for her. He spent almost two years on the colony, and towards the end of his stay there, he asked her to marry him, and she accepted. He had met many friends on the colony, but everything came crashing down when he learned why he was really there. After being extracted from the colony to "report to his father", Madran discovered that the sole purpose of him being stationed on the colony was to gather intelligence on a merc. group for his father. After Madran was extracted, they bombed the colony - apparently wiping out the mercenary group, but many innocents, and Madran's fiancée. Madran, unable to contain his fury, returned to his father's office and shot him dead before stealing a ship and leaving. He managed to escape without anyone seeing, so by the time he was put on any kind of hitlist, he was already out in the Terminus Systems. He ended up on Omega, where he drank and slept with women most nights. This was around the same time that the First-Contact war was beginning, so Madran never got involved with that. Over the years he served as a soldier, Madran gained a great deal of knowledge and skills. He was a good soldier. But his greatest power was yet to be fully nurtured. His mind. Over the next five years he used his silver tongue to gain powerful friends, and with powerful friends, Madran too found himself gaining power. Before long, he was rich and had his own penthouse apartment. He could still use a gun like a pro, too. He is, in many ways, a broken man, but he sure as hell doesn't show it - unless he's really, really drunk. That's pretty pathetic. Madran isn't over his fiancée, or the countless friends he lost, but he can move on with his life now. Get some work done.
Denouement
Character Motivation: To anyone but himself, Madran's motives are a complete mystery. He is driven by several factors, in truth. Power. Wealth. Love. All of these things boil down to one goal: happiness - which seems unobtainable without the three aforementioned nouns. He also feels a drive to better the galaxyd, but feels quite powerless in that front, so instead focuses more on himself - not due to selfishness, more because he has no idea how to contribute to the galaxy. Significant Relations: Estranged family. They mean nothing to him anymore. Deceased fiancée. Opinions on Others:
Like any sane being with male sexual organs would, Madran finds Raya attractive. But he knows her game - he is smart, he knows how this works. He knows to keep his distance. Instead of the typical kind of relationship he'd have with an attractive female, Madran sees Raya as a good friend, someone he could drink and laugh with.

Madran knows that he gets under Hazan's skin, and it amuses him a little. He likes to think, however, that under all of the bad stuff, that he could consider Hazan a friend, because at the end of the day the two can still have a civil conversation - as long as Madran isn't trying to wind him up.

Madran clearly respects Nik, or he would not follow him. He is the sort of person that Madran has faith in. He would like to believe that they are friends.

Refreshing. Madran enjoys conversing with her, her cheerful naïvety diverting from what is considered the norm in the Terminus Systems. Breaks the monotony. She seems like the sort that could see the best in Madran, even if there was very little there, and he appreciates that. He often tones down his darker side - the sex and booze, when he is in her presence, for her sake.

They are similar in quite a few ways. Madran respects Olan's work ethic and the way he operates. The two could probably share an intellectual conversation or two.

Ryland is an honourable man, so he commands the respect of Madran. Madran knows that Ryland doesn't trust him - so that means Ryland is smart, another thing Madran can respect. Due to how Madran acts, it is unlikely the two will get along famously. Unlike many Turian, Madran cares little about species and race, so the fact that Ryland is Human means nothing to him.
Awesome Theme Song: (optional) Other:
