Name: Jonathan Hartford Gender: Male Age: 24 Affiliation and Aspiration: Seeks to restore his family fortune, find his brother, and be a dashing gentleman. Appearance: Seen here in tinkering mode. Usually will be found wearing his trademark top hat. Background: The son of a successful merchant, Jonathan was raised in a sheltered environment with his younger brother Caine. Talented and skilled at all sorts of arts and sciences, Jonathan grew up as the pride and joy of the Hartford family and his father's favorite son. On the other hand, Caine struggled to match his brother's brilliance and dealt with the open disappointment of his harsh father. This created quite a bit of friction in the household, though Jonathan and Caine were inseparably close, and shared a deep friendship as brothers. On his 18th birthday, Jonathan approached his father's study to announce that he would be leaving to further his education at a university. When he heard no reply to his knocking, he entered to find his father brutally murdered, and the entire Hartford fortune signed off and stolen under Caine's name, who had disappeared without a trace. Blindsided and reeling, Jonathan managed to pick himself up and bury his father, swearing on his grave that Caine would be found and the Hartford fortune restored. Nameless and penniless, Jonathan set out to become a sky pirate. Personality: Even with a sob story like that though, Jonathan is a somewhat bumbling, naive, happy go-lucky womanizer who appears to be enjoying life to the fullest. Nearly every penny he earns (steals) goes towards extravagant gifts for women he doesn't even know, and Jonathan has gotten into quite a bit of legal trouble for forging property documents of chocolate factories, mansions, and estates to give to the subjects of his affection. Look a little bit deeper though, and it is not difficult to see that a simmering darkness lurks within. Other Notes: Jonathan is an inventor of sorts, and enjoys tinkering around with spare parts and circuits, especially if it empresses the ladyfolk.

Name: Song Yin Yue Gender: Female Age: Appears to be in her early twenties Affiliation and Aspiration: Seeks to learn of her past. Appearance: Seen here with her beloved wu jian (straight sword). History: Song Yin Yue does not remember her childhood. Nor does she remember her birthday. For that matter, she has no idea if she even had a mother or father. The first thing she remembers is how she woke up, lying on the cold floor deep beneath the city, in a strange place, with the name, Song Yin Yue scrawled in blood above her head. To her, this was where her life began. Blessed (or cursed) with a freakish intelligence, superior athleticism, and for some inexplicable reason, an extreme talent for folding paper cranes, Song set out into the city streets. It was here that she met Jonathan, or rather, Jonathan met (or rather still, hit on) her. Song told him that she was looking for answers. Jonathan, in a fit of playfulness, suggested that he indeed had the answers she was looking for. Too naive to understand that he was merely flirting, Song decided to follow him wherever he went, believing in her heart that Jonathan truly would lead her to find out who she was. Within no time however, it became apparent that Jonathan was just a hack. Still, with nothing else to do, and no real leads, Song decided to join Jonathan and become a sky pirate. Perhaps the answers she sought would be found on their travels. Personality: Very cool headed and serious, almost chillingly non-emotional at times, though she has developed a rather caustic sense of humor in reaction to Jonathan's mannerisms. She is a very dutiful and industrious worker, and is thankful to be a member of the Stormsong's crew. She is a genius when it comes to anything technical, but basic social norms still tend to escape her.
