One thing that really annoys me is when someone specifies a certain number of characters in the recruitment thread, like that they'll only accept the first five entries or something.

I get why people do it -- I really do -- but the problem is that RPGuild seems to have something like a 50% drop out rate before the thread even begins, so promising players are often pushed to the wayside because someone with no sense of commitment got there first.

The problem is exacerbated when each player has to choose a specific "class" or somesuch and there can only be one of each.
