Zircon attempted to get close to the creature but its thrashing kept him from doing so. "Hey, if you're going to keep playing around up there, at least hit this damn things gem or gems." 

Once the beast's body stilled, Zircon used the goop to his advantage and slid under it to slice open its gut. Coming up on the other end, he ran up the thing's back and rammed his glaive through the uppermost gem on the beast's drill.
