Maddox
The red-haired mage raised an eyebrow when Jarvis announced he would be participating in the Grand Magic Games. I can understand putting me on if he wants us to win, Maddox mused, bringing a hand up to his chin. He didn't even seem to notice the looks he received, as people naturally looked to see who the lucky participants were. But I imagined he would just want to put on a good show. I guess I was wrong. Then again, I'm really the only one on the list that isn't all that flashy. So he mixed goals? Yeah, I'm sure that's it. With a sigh, Maddox stood up from his seat to full height. "Alright, I'm in," he said calmly, putting his hands back in his pockets. His red eyes drifted over to the Frenzy Plant crew that had come to check in with the guild. While some assumed they were here to assess the competition, Maddox didn't particularly care if they were. Hardly a soul in the guild knew what he was capable of, and even then they were unaware of his full extent. Some potential future opponents would never learn anything about him or his style by observing, other than the fact people call him "Blink" and "the fastest man alive." And who would take that last one seriously? Then Damien decided to give his little announcement. Maddox didn't seem to react at all to the revelation of his past violence. He's killed a few people, he noted in his mind. He must be a really nice guy if that was bothering him so much... Then again... Nah, nobody needs to know about that. The red-haired mage let out a sigh. He's a grown man, he'll be fine. There are other things to focus on right now. The Grand Magic Games. Who I'm working with. I know Lazarus and Sasha's abilities pretty well, and they aren't too shabby. Sasha's creative too, so her use isn't limited to only fights. I'm aware of what Trinity and Damien can do, but I'm not all that familiar with it. They seem like fine choices, no obvious deficiencies. The others all seem adept at the least. I can't identify any apparent weak links. Maddox thought about the others as he strode across the hall. Training together though... I'm not sure what I would benefit from that. But perhaps I can help them out. Damien could train them just as well if not better, so I don't think I'm that useful for that. What am I useful for here in this tournament? With a sigh Maddox sat down at the bar, taking a seat next to Mayt. I suppose I can just reserve myself. Let everyone else shine. With our lineup, there isn't really anything I would be needed for that someone else can't do. Maybe a race? The others probably have tricks up their sleeves to win something like that too. It was about now that Blink noticed Mayt sitting next to him. Yeah, I'll just hold myself back a bit. It's probably better that way. "Hey, haven't seen you stop by here in a while," Maddox greeted him, removing his hands from his pockets and leaning against the bar. "Finished that job, eh?"
