A bus ran by, stopping beside her. "What's wrong, kid?" the man asked. The side of the bus read "Yokai Academy". A boy named Tsukune (Ts-koon-ay) sat in a seat of the empty bus.
"Er, hey, why'd we stop?" he called to the front as he walked up. He saw Melanie. "You going to Yokai, too? Or did he just stop for no reason?"

A boy walked down the street, slumped, with a grin on his face. Like a maniac, per say. He had a large pocket knife in his hand, and his grin turned to a sideways smirk. He walked funny, indicating he was drunken. "Melanie... I always said I would come back..." he hiccuped. "..And here I am..." he said in a slurred tone as he reached her.
