[@The Fox Without] Of course they can, but those who live out of their world for extended periods of time trend to assume a human alternative form to save energy(like Akane does). Humans inhabiting the Crimson Sky, however never ends well as the twisted world slowly changes when into mindless Youkai, unless they are very powerful humans.
