His light blue eyes peered over the cover again, The History of Religion. With a sigh, Shin leaned back in his chair and brought a hand up to pinch the bridge of his nose. "What are you working on in here?" an older voice came from behind. Turning his head, Shin looked up at his father, standing in the doorway to the family's study. "Nothing. Don't worry about it," he responded casually, standing up from his seat. The two were similar in height, for obvious reasons, but Shin was notably shorter than his father, Kaito. They had similar features though, such as hair and eye color. Even their faces had a similar frame, but Kaito notably had a large scar across the bridge of his nose. "I see. Being a smartass again. I came here to let you know that the meeting tonight will be cancelled. You and I are the only Gemstones in the village right now, so there is no point to it." Shin nodded his head in understanding. "You need to go on a mission or something. You've been hanging around far too much lately." His son stopped and locked eyes with his dad. "Don't worry about that. I already planned to go out and work on something today, as a matter of fact," Shin defended himself, before walking past his father out into the hallway. "I'll see about a mission later." As Shin walked away, Kaito merely crossed his arms and watched his son walk away. It was clear that the two had some kind of tension, but neither seemed particularly intent on confronting the other. With a sigh, he too walked away from the door, leaving the study empty. Half an hour later, Shin was walking through Smalltown. The teenager casually strolled into The Mighty Naruto restaurant, stopping at the doorway to take in the place. He had eaten here before in the past, with his family. It wasn't cheap to dine here, so they had only come here twice, both for celebration feasts. He wasn't here to eat today, however. After scouting the area, he spotted Sentou and Yamato near the stage. There was a notable absence of Aoi, but Shin still strode across the restaurant floor regardless. Suspicious eyes surely followed him, as normal people wait at the entrance to be seated rather than simply walking into the restaurant. "Hey," Shin announced his presence as he approached Sentou and Yamato. "It's a surprise to see you here, Sentou. Didn't take you for the fine dining type, though I'd still say you're the fine type... ahem, anyways..." His blue eyes turned to Yamato now, his face taking a serious expression. "I need a favor, Yamato." A pause was intentionally left now as Shin looked over his shoulder at a group of well-suited men were staring at him. They were likely Yakuza thugs. Shin only continued when his gaze returned back to Yamato. "I want to talk to your father. Is there a way you can arrange that? I have a few questions I want to ask him. About... that cult."
