Having finally caught up with the now stationary tank, Diamond jumped up with a loud thump. "Say what?" she said, a bit of anger in her voice. "That's not the mission. That's to protect the trucks! The camp was a write off even before we showed up, look at what's left of the truck! The bugs would have gotten the camp in the end, and we brought mining dust, not arms, none of this would have helped them!" she said, her voice getting steadily more growling. This was going to end badly from the start and there was pathetic little they could have done with what they had and knew. Time to pull their heads out of their asses and salvage what was left! Two of the trucks were heading back to Vale, while the wreck of the third one was rapidly vanishing in front of their eyes. And they stood here, doing nothing, and being surrounded by a spreading wildfire. "Well? Do something, boss! I'm not abandoning what they hired me to do as long as those trucks are rolling and I am certainly not going to stay here and burn to a crisp! If you can't make a decision then get your candy ass back to that camp, there are a few survivors to load up, and let me handle this!" she yelled in frustration and jumped off, walking in the direction of what remained of the third truck and the bulk of the swarm. The blast of the high explosive shot seemed to hurt the swarm more than the fire. The source of the fire was an incendiary round, not much she could do about that, but they had to put out the grass before they burned here alive. How does one put out a fire of that magnitude though? It reminded her of a dust quarry fire, spreading too fast to be contained. If memory served, they put those out with a shockwave, blowing the flames right off. Looking at the truck, the pieces started falling together. She just hoped enough of the mining dust was left intact to be effective. Turning around, she gave Marcus a stern look. "Blow up what's left of the truck before they eat it all! That should blow off the fires in a gap big enough for us to get through and take most of the bugs with it! We only need the two trucks! We need to catch up with those!" she said, her tone of voice on the borderline between a suggestion and an order.
