[/quote] They might keep Aaron around because they'd want him to divert his attention to magical experiments on human subjects (some way to transfer his abilities to other men to improve the army's capabilities, for example). Also it's unlikely Klaus could have stolen all the lab equipment, so they'd have enough notes and documentation to recreate the circumstances that created the magical black hole in the first place.
