He'll go to the ends of the world and back if it means that his baby will some day be proud of him. Deriving from that, he's single-minded and careful. Never risking to fix a problem in an unsafe manner if there's another choice, he usually reacts quickly to developing events and doesn't hesitate to aid his comrades when it's possible to do so. He's usually looking for hints on his wife's whereabouts, but he finds he often lacks the time to go through old memorabilia back at camp to look for clues. As he grew up, stories of the country they came from were told to him by his grandfather, and such stories kept his eyes open to the blessings he counted with in such a developed country. At school, he had a small group of friends and got good grades. Not the best grades, but they were good enough to his parents. When his grandfather died, there was an opening in the family business, and he took the job in a pinch. After grieving for a few days, he was working harder than ever in his parents' hardware store, lifting heavy boxes for a living. Things were good for them, as slowly the business grew, and their income got better. Eventually he was promoted to add another task to his list of responsibilities, and he had to aid in moving a bunch of their inventory from their main store to a new branch on the outskirts of London. So he spent weeks moving back and forth between towns, driving an old, used up pick up truck of his family. He got a bunch of experience in driving and learned to get over a couple problems here and there. By the age of 20, he met a woman named Lilly. She was shopping, and asked James for a lot of help. He gladly gave it to her, but eventually, he couldn't help but notice her beauty. For a few moments he was hesitant, but when he finally swallowed down his fear, he asked her out in a date, and she accepted. Fast forward three years, and the happiest man and woman were on their wedding day. James had studied for three years in a University and was about to graduate and obtain a degree in Nutrition and Fitness to legally act as a Personal Trainer. But then things went to hell. These... Crazed people started appearing and killing others, and eventually everything was chaos. People tried to get out of the country, with stories of "safe havens" or "geographical advantages". Naturally, James and his family believed most of these stories, but they could not afford a ticket to most of the first world safe havens, so they had to settle for a ticket to the island of Cuba, specifically Havana. The place was supposed to be safe, it was supposed to be secure. Yet only a few weeks from having arrived, James' Family was caught up in a same scenario as in England. Every day that passed, they lost one to the Walkers, Zombies, Geeks, whatever they called these things. And even though they couldn't grieve or even give them a proper burial most of the time, their morale slowly sunk. Soon enough, most had lost track of time, and the only ones left were James' father, wife and his newborn daughter. One day, a horde found them, and following the baby's cries, they managed to track them down into an old, abandoned building. Somehow, James' father managed to distract them with the help of his wife, and James found him on the other side of whole crumbled floor. With no sight of his wife or his father, James hugged his daughter, Elise, tightly against his body and moved on. Every day since, he's been looking for signs of his remaining family. But his loved, tiny Elise comes above all.
