Hey [@Gowi] I have to say this is interesting. Would love a ch ace to play a house Gahnt. They'd be Northmen/Stark inspired. Might want to change the family name though because I don't really like the sound of it. Another question though, do we have to use the king, duke, count title name system or could I do a Viking/Nordic High King, Jarl, Thane system? Edit* Actually would it be to much to ask for a large island chain past the eastern coast of Terijas? Or maybe that Vyntarland place at the northern edge of the map is an island chain? I really want to play as a Viking inspired nation right now. I would start it out as a young Jarl who unites the Islands for the first time in recorded history. Obviously through bloodshed in the sight of the gods! Naturally we'd get mixed up in the politics of Orlandis by either raiding your pathetic continental fishing villages or looking for allies to unite the Islands. Sorry, I was playing Skyrim and then I started playing the Witcher 3 and fell in love with Skellige. I'm really feeling the Viking culture right now...
My GM is moving out of Skavia which is opening it up for play, if you want to run a Great House with nordic influence this is your best bet. However, the ruling system is still Anglican due to the culture synthesis during the Thralion Empire era. I can ask any questions related to Vyntic culture and history; though the OOC will cover much of this. However, there is a linear event about a "viking who unites tribes and invades Orlandis" thing, I'm afraid.
I would like to express the most ardent interest in this roleplay! If possible, I would love to control the House Tahren of lovely Gradiar. They would be an elitist and xenophobic house that, despite an absence of the strong familial values and love that tie many other great houses together, has always thrived - possibly due to their supreme confidence and willingness to act upon their entitlement paired with their location. Situated immediately north of Veronia on the outskirts of the heart of the "Lands of the Harvest," Gradiar is relatively fertile, lending to the respectable wealth of House Tahren. House Valian, however, has always surpassed House Tahren in every aspect from farming to alliance-building, trade to morality, imbuing a petulance - and even truculence - within the Tahren noble family. This angry passion has inspired the family while also putting a distinct pressure on each subsequent Tahren generation to overturn the established status-quo. Opulence and frequent revelry contrast starkly with betrayal and self-serving schemes in Gradiar. Let me know what you think!
See regional information for help on the matter, but I doubt we will have much issues with you as Gradiar!
