James replied, watching as she played with her doll. White was like him, clean and effective, he can work with most 'colours' - except black.

"So what’s your doll called?" he asked passively, as if to a child. He pulled over the stool from beside the door and sat, looking through the clear plastic frame by the door, he would offer to get her a seat but she seemed comfortable where she was right now. The doll was probably her safety net, something she turned to when she felt vulnerable.
