The spirit magic was much too strong for the inexperienced Ariel. Drifting off to sleep the magic continued to build. Ariel had become the vessel for a new spirit to be born and already others were summoning it. It itself being inexperienced had no way to prevent from being split apart it its forming. Thankfully it had an enormous magical potential and a link back to Ariel for more magic.
James' call was answered and a semi-formless aquamarine cloud appeared in front of him. To a keen eye it had some resemblance to Ariel's form but it wasn't solid enough to make it obvious. The spirit stretched and yawned as if just waking up. She glanced at James and around the room but didn't really know enough to recognize where she was. "Ahhh. Hm... Did you just summon me?" She leaned her head to one side and studied him. He was a Paladin after all so he must have. What exactly should she do now? The whole becoming a Familiar process was rather new. [@Zarkun]
Despite Michael's less than stellar summoning the new spirit was easily brought to him. Here she was outside and the sun passed through her semi-translucent yet cloudy form. Prince might recognize the similarities of her form, but more telling was the hint of Ariel's magic. Nodding a little she faced Michael. How odd was the feeling of being on more than one place. "Oh, you summoned me as well. Um... hello." [@Caits]
Unlike the others here the spirit was being addressed by a sword. It appeared to have a spirit of its own and actually made things feel much more comfortable. Become a sword? Could it do that? The couldey form reached up to the blade and seemed to converse silently. After a minute the spirit lowered it's hand and nodded in agreement. "Gideon, I shall become your blade. Step forward to accept the agreement set by Cailburn." [@soren]
