Seeing this opportunity Valerius advanced upon the vulnerable spider. Leaping off it's upturned legs and onto it's abdomen, and plunging his saber into it, before charging forward and up the body, slicing it from the bottom up, the pure laser blade making all kinds of burning and gnashing noises as it sliced through as much of the soft underbelly as possible. He had some idea of what might happen... A horde of spiders... So he was planning on jumping off as soon as he got near the head. That was what he did. Leaping off and rolling off to the side to examine his handiwork.
