Welcome true believers; welcome to [b]All-Star Marvel[/b], an intoxicating land where creativity for creativity's sake can take priority and enable you to render stories and events you could only have dreamed of in all of your previous mundanity. We welcome you to a unique narrative opportunity to take any Marvel character character and re-imagine them in a way that makes them pleasurable for you to write unique and original stories with. In this universe no events in the main Marvel comics continuity are considered canon. It is entirely contained within the forum and within your imagination. Am I over-egging it? Perhaps. It's still pretty cool to see.

Whether you're one for emotional drama or a sucker for physical trauma, the vast range of characters available could fit any genre or any purpose you could reasonably imagine. Is your interest piqued by a fresh interpretation of [i]Bruce Banner[/i] that you really wanna try out? Own it. Love Thor but hate that darned old hammer? Sling it. Think that The Whizzer is in need of a drastic revival? That's good too. No-one is off limits here. Not even Doop. As long as they have appeared in a canonical Marvel tale on either the page or the screen they're free for refurbishment. Here, the MARVEL UNIVERSE is yours to mold.

[b]Q:[/b] Wait, I have seen this interest check before!  Is this a reboot?

[b]A:[/b] I would say a soft reboot.  While we will remain in the [url=http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/76031-all-star-marvel-audax-mundus-novus/ooc]current thread[/url], the slate is still pretty much clean.  You will not need to read through the IC to know what is going on (and if you have any questions, you can just ask and either I or one of the other current players can help explain).

[b]Q:[/b] Is there a long list of rules?

[b]A:[/b] There is a list (not as long as it might seem), but think of them more like why McDonald's put a warning on their coffee that it is hot.  Sometimes, you just need to get some "common sense" down on paper.

[b]Q:[/b] Are OC (Original Characters) allowed?

[b]A:[/b] Strictly speaking, original characters are not allowed.  However, due to the nature of this RP, you can fashion the Marvel character in (almost) whatever why you desire, so you still have a medium for creative leeway.  Also, I probably would turn a blind eye to OC's who are supporting cast (with that said, don't go too crazy!).

[b]Q:[/b] Can I start out as a villain?

[b]A:[/b] I would prefer you first apply for either a hero or walking-the-line character (an example of the second group would be someone like Punisher).  However, if you really, really want to play a villain, you have to convince me that this will not be a "one and done" thing.

Your character must have appeared somewhere in one of the many media that Marvel distributes (comics, films, television, video games, etc.).  Therefore, you may not use characters owned by other comic companies (like Batman) or original characters.  However, you are free to take liberties in the creation of your character.
