[@SimplyJohn] That's kind of like leaving job experience thin on a resume and saying "I wanna get a feel for the job before I tell you what I've done." A backstory is there to tell us about what the character has gone through, key events, defining moments, etc. It's also our first glimpse in to your style of writing, your effort, and creativity. It's there for a reason, so you need to provide something more substantial, please. I'm not asking for a wall of text. Also, did you not see the pictures?
