Caravan Mission The bugs were flying faster and faster towards the trucks, as the trucks were struggling to get more speed while maintaining control But soon they would get close to the large quartz crystal that blocked their path from before. And crawling from the holes were even more insects, ready to intercept the convoy from in front. "Stop! Stop the trucks!" Rice screamed in helpless fear, but the truck drivers weren't listening. "Like hell we are! This is a seven ton machine going eighty miles an hour! I'm not going to let some rocks get in my way!" The front caravan driver was confident that he could ram through the rocks, but that also meant the bugs were only going to get closer faster. And while most would be killed upon impact, there were so many of them and the corpses of the first, second, and third wave of insects would provide enough cushioning for the others to land with relative safety. But that was before the explosion occurred. The drivers, long since dead due to being eaten by the insects, as well as the swarm around the trucks were engulfed in a massive Technicolor explosion. It wasn't just fire; ice, solidified darkness, a blinding light, vines, and even water explosded as the various dust crystals were triggered and their energies released all at once. The resulting shockwave was so powerful, it knocked over the various quartz structures around the plains, one of the trucks, and threaten to topple over the Unsubtle. Anyone not holding on tightly to the ground or in the safety of a building were also knocked to the ground by the violent shockwave. The insects themselves were blown right out from the skies, if not from the shockwave then by the effects of the dust. Many of the insects were frozen solid before incinerated by the fire, some turned into seed-sized pods, others simply torn apart. The shockwave also killed the fires around the burning fields by tearing the tall grass right out of the ground, leaving most of the area around the explosion bare with nothing but dirt. The truck, the one containing rices, was jostled by the explosion. But the driver managed to maintain enough control over his vehicle to prevent it from tipping over like the other one, and without the threat of bugs he was willing to slow down and by pass the the fallen quartz safely. The truck crunched over thousands of insects en route, before hitting the gas and heading back to Vale. Meanwhile the second truck, which got toppled over by the shockwave, was stuck on the side of the road. The drivers were alive though beat up from the accident. They remained inside however, uncertain of the status outside. The radio was still filled with static. Patrol Mission The Anchor Girl's water continued to flow, however it was set back thanks to Skyra's attack. But the water still flooded in, even faster this time. She didn't expect Ebon to have the strength to lift her into the air however, where she was a sitting duck for his R-Types as well as for Skyra. But she wouldn't back down now; she'd just have to stand her ground! With anchors in hand, she used one to shield herself and tossed the other Anchor towards the R-Types, trying to take as many down as she can in one mighty-swing. She would have almost caught Skyra if one of the R-Types that she couldn't hit managed to fire it's laser at her. The anchor girl used her anchor to shield herself, but then she was shot by more lasers. She stood her ground the best she could on Ebon's rickety shield, and when Skyra was finally close enough to slash at her the Anchor girl allowed Skyra's blades to contact her anchor, using her force to push herself off the shield and onto the ground. The anchor girl used her momentum to put distance between herself and the two hunters, breathing moderately. She spat out some blood and flourished with her anchors. "Is that all ya got, ya snot-nosed kids? Toys and running around with knives?" The Anchor girl slammed her two anchors into the ground to root herself in place. Suddenly the streets started to floor with water to the point that it got knee-high in seconds. The other girls that were with the anchor girl had to move to high ground, jumping onto various store stands. "These are my streets! And you can't beat me on my own turf!" The head honcho was quite excited to hear Krysthane accept his date, and he and his buddies seemed eager too. The cats even came back to join them in their merriment, dancing with the young men over their minor accomplishment. Meanwhile at the Land of Walt, it was a busy day at the amusement park. Various costumed mascots walked around the park bringing joy and amusement to various children and even adults. There was a birthday party going on, with a bunch of kids and adults in formal attire. Various thuggish bikers were also in attendance, however they seemed to genuinely be there with their family, if the balloons and toys they carried were any indication. And their children, of course. There was a show for "The Silver Ranger", a hunter-turned-superhero that was to happen within the next hour. All in all, things seemed peaceful at the Land of Walt. There was a "Test you might" game where players could hit a stuffed Ursa in the face with a hammer. Those who try get a free banana split ice cream, with a special surprise for those who can do "Critical" damage to the Ursa. Additionally there was various amusement park rides, however they required a certain amount of tickets or a special bracelet that you can buy at various booths scattered about the park. Lastly, for those who don't like to spend time in the sun, there was an arcade with a very retro feel to it. Illuminated only by neon, they had everything from ancient 8 pixel games to some virtual reality games. All of them, of course, required either tickets or a special bracelet to play. There were some people trying to sell tickets and bracelets at the entrance of the Land of Walt, with varying levels of legitimacy. They didn't stick around long since security guards kept a steady patrol around the park. These were not vale police, but the Land of Walt's own personal security force. They looked like fancy knights with glowing blue swords.
