She stood, her chalk poised over the black board for a moment after Nolan voiced his query.

Then she wrote 'Cursed?' The question mark was overlarge and curled at both ends. This was her way of expressing her pleasure, her face remained stony and stoic.

She turned to the class. "It [i]is[/i] true that I am the only teacher to hold this position at Hogwarts more than one term in a very... very... very long time."

"Curses are very real." She paced the front of the room as she spoke. "We should discuss exactly how much power a curse can have. Do you think that it is [i]possible[/i] to curse a faculty position? People can certainly be cursed, and places. Even [i]muggles[/i] have heard of 'haunted houses'. How about families? Something more abstract? Thoughts?"
