I'll admit I'm not sure what effect mystery dungeons have on the world around them. How do they work, exactly, in this setting? In any case, I prefer to use a pokemon <3. She might have started with fish or birds if she'd had proper guidance but the idea of extinguishing life was the sticking point for Lola rather than its sentience (after all, she'd spared Thassa's own life when she represented a threat to her own young), and the event serves as a solid turning point in her life where things got weird with her family.
