Yeah, the Americans I served with always confused me with rank insignia. Lance Cap is technically equal to PFC in the NATO rank system even though they fill different command roles, but no fucker ever told me that so I was forever wondering why a Private was giving me gyp >>;
In any case VC has its own rank system which I'm broadly following and includes both ranks in a linear progression. Private>PFC>Lance Corporal>Corporal etc
