It simple really. You take pickaxes, wooden spikes and a few buckets of water. You use said picks to make small holes in the rock. Then you place wet wooden spikes inside the holes. Naturally as physics would ahve it, as the wet wooden spikes stay, they will cool down and in the process expand. If you have like a bunch staked in the wall, the expanding wood will cause the whole are to crackle and break down. This is an ancient method used by the anceint egyptians I think.
