Or throwing in the towel and waiting for the whitewalkers to shatter the wall and enslave the divided kingdoms. Only thing he could've done differently was leave her at Castle Black (which he did in the books), among, you know, rapists and thieves and wildlings and other cannibals. Show Stannis did the only thing he could do. He won't be forgiven -- least of all by himself -- but he [i]must[/i] take the throne, and he [i]must[/i] take Winterfell, and there was only one way.

Besides, all they need to do is get Thoros of Myr up there. Problem solved.[/hider]
