For example, the FF7 shipping has always been quite a internet popular war. Specifically Cloud x Tifa vs Cloud x Aerith. Usually such strong conflicts that are perhaps suggested lead to Shipping Wars, in which fans rant about their favorite of the two and why they should be together in the end result.

It would basically go like this.

'I ship Prince x Michael' meaning that the fan finds them a cute romantic couple.
