I'm pretty neutral to gunpowder honestly. 

Although, regarding firearms in fantasy settings, I'm always tempted to replace gunpowder with something more 'arcane'. As in, why would they use gunpowder when they can make firearms that fire magical bolts and bullets. 

Food for thought I guess, we could include both.
