[/quote]These guns are useless as LMGs, too. They are old water-cooled heavy machineguns chambered to fire way underpowered 9mm bullets and lacking bipods or any support for stable fire.
If we get down to the designs, practically anything but the early tier weapons don't make a realistic sense.
That and soldiers carry tons of armor in VC.
I say it's more reasonable to assume people in VC are tougher than in real life.
Gives you a similarly nice excuse why they can perform fancy movements during cutscenes.
Anyways, in the end you have to rely on your willing suspension of disbelief and view VC a bit like typical fantasy RPGs.
