“I simply want to get to the bottom of this.” he whispered, particularily quiet. He might be oblivious, he was not stupid. He looked back at the man and continued to do so, watching the man go through the motions of drinking, eating, drinking, eating. It seemed like he was particularily taking it easy, as if he had no idea there were shinobi around. He seemed eerily quiet, calm too. That was until the silence was broken. “Nanda.. what are you waiting for, shinobi? Step out from cover. I noticed your group miles away.” he said with a heavy sigh following his words. The man leaned on his knee with one hand and used the other to support him and push him up, getting on his feet again and dusting off his pants. Now that Doto got a clear look at his face, he noticed the man looked tired. Chakra wires were still coming from his back and spooling around. But the man showed no sign of working on that at all, as if it happened on it's own. Slowly Dotomare would grab the wooden support and step up, into the room. “Nani? Why.. why do you invite us here, send dead bodies after us, and then invite us into your house? That doesn't make any sense.” he said, leaving his hand resting on a wooden support post. Dotomare seemed relaxed, which might in part be due to the fact that the man didn't seem hostile, or atleast had a good appearance of being friendly. “Hohoho.. please.. did you enjoy the soup I made for you all?” he said with a smile. It seemed sincere enough. “Hai, gee-sama. It was delicious!” Dotorame answered, with his typical energetic attitude, a big smile on his face. The old man smiled in return and looked at the stairs. It seemed he knew that Rin and Haruka were also there, so no doubt that he knew Aoi and Daiki were outside, too. Never the less he didn't make a move, nor did he call out. He held up a package of herbs, looking expensive. “Special recipe. I hope your friends enjoyed too.” Dotorame could only nod - as far as he knew, Daiki, Haruka and Aoi hadn't had any soup. “Why did you give us a mission here, gee-sama?” The man sighed and sat down again, with his back to Aoi and Daiki. He placed both his hands on the table as he adjusted himself before sitting down completely and resting his hands on his lap. “My kekkei genkai is a curse.” he said softly, as he looked down at his hand. His face read something of shame and sadness. “My whole life I've been running so I won't harm anyone. But all I end up doing is controlling those who are supposed to rest in the ground. When I arrived here, I thought it was safe. The burial site was far away from the village, you see, and my kekkei genkai only searches for those who are dead.” The kekkei genkai obviously referred to the chakra threads that came from his back. But the workings still remained a mystery. “But.. I miscalculated. I spent years living here, and recently someone died in an accident. That caused my kekkei genkai to activate, and to take control of the dead body. I couldn't help it - I have no control over my kekkei genkai. It possesses dead bodies on it's own and animates them, to kill those that are near me. Some say it's a defense, but to me, it's the ultimate curse. Slowly the ranks of the dead filled up as it started with one, then became two, and then four.. it was a massacre.” The man seemed to be getting emotional, so Dotomare took that as a sign that he should walk closer and sit down, regardless of what Aoi might say. Ooh, Dotomare, it's dangerous! You can't do this, you can't do that! Here, take this gooey snot so I can control you like a slave! But now Aoi wasn't here, and neither was Daiki. He could fix this problem however he wanted now. Haruka would surely understand, if he heard the mans story. And so he sat down across the man, crossing his legs and inching closer towards the table, placing down his hands on the table to rest them. “I decided that it was enough. I cannot live like a hermit, the social recluse would drive me insane. And I can not live in the company of others, because I am a danger to them. I've killed enough innocent, so I sent a fake letter to the hokage. I knew he wouldn't send anyone if it was a mission with no reward, but I am poor. So I pretended to be the local leader and offered a very large reward. The hokage would surely send someone then. And now, I need you to kill me.” Dotomare's mouth fell open at the man's calm expression as he requested the assisted suicide. An awkward, calm silence overcame the room, which could only be broken by either Rin or Haruka - possibly Daiki and Aoi if they'd gone around to go inside. Or knowing Aoi and Daiki, crash through the window because they anticipated the man to be a total bad guy who would attack Dotorame. “N.. nandayo..? You want to.. die?” “Hai. You are correct.” the man said, seemingly not weirded out by the idea at all. He continued, however, to elaborate as to why. “I've spent my years, I've seen my share of beautiful things, of sad things. My kekkei genkai has also shown me stories I could never have seen otherwise. But now I am old, and I fear my kekkei genkai might remain active after my death and shortly repossess me. That would be even more trouble. So, I need you to kill me and ensure the kekkei genkai goes with me. I would.. offer you tips. But my kekkei genkai acts on it's own like I said, so I have no control over it and I don't know how it works. Like I said.. it's a curse.” Dotorame was unable to process this as he looked at the man, staring at him and wondering what to say. “I.. I can't make that decision for you.. gee-sama. I don't think we are .. allowed to help people with their death..” Doto was struggling with the idea a bit. Fighting bad guys was one thing, but helping old people with.. with their own deaths? Something inside of him wanted to yell at the man.. Why? Why do you ask this?! Why?

Yamato Minamoru, “Young Master”
Utsusemi
Yamato heard Giichi call his family interesting.. atleast he acknowledged the Minamoru, unlike others like the Naito, or Jaakuna or Shin, who constantly got on his nerves and seemed to disregard his family without any respect for what the Minamoru's had done for Konoha. Yamato gritted his teeth as he thought about the argument they had before Yamato left the old hangout to deal with the Jashinists. That idiot Paneru.. Jaakuna.. Daiki.. One day they'd all see that Yamato was above them. They knew nothing of respect, tradition or pride. All they knew was how to be annoying, disrespectful and a complete disregard for assessments of power. The distance closed, and Rei and Yamato, as well as Giichi, got closer to the enemy, who seemed to be preparing themselves. Some light chatter was going on between the three remaining enemies. “So... Soha got himself killed by a chunin and a genin... wait 'till “Bravery” hears of this..” The other two remained in silence as they formed seals rapidly. Yamato thought to himself in that moment, 'Bravery..? No village headbands.. these guys.. ksu...', right before the clash. The two shinobi fulfilled their handseals and slammed their fists into the grounds, creating a massive grass wall right in front of them. It was enough to stop Rei, who was forced to go around entirely making her lose momentum. Giichi would've had to go around too if it weren't for the fact that Yamato jumped forward and pushed his fist into the grass wall. It offered resistance, but grass was quite easy to burn. An opening was made in the wall so that Giichi could jump through as well.
Ochihabune It was early morning, sometimes about a week ago from the current time. There was a gentle breeze as the brown leaves waded through the air. It was the type of day where your hair would go all over the place caused by a pleasureable cool wind. A short knock. Knock. Two more. Knock knock. A voice. “Yamato! Company!” It was his mother's voice. Yamato gave it one more shot - he inhaled and exhaled, without any handseals, and attempted to breathe fire onto a training dummy that was set up in the backyard, made of metal. He pulled it off, sorta, but the fireball wasn't large enough to do any worthwhile damage, and it didn't last long enough either. Yamato's face grew into an annoyed expression, approaching the metal dummy and cocking back his fist. “BAKA!” he yelled in anger as he punched at the metal dummy, pulled back his fist and punched it again, some fire sparking off of his fist as it connected. There were dents all over the dummy by now, mostly caused by Yamato hitting it in anger, so one more dent wouldn't matter. “Hey.” a light, petite voice said. It sounded awfully formal, and somewhat respectful, but also denoted that whoever said that had not just arrived, but had seen some of Yamato's punching. He turned around quickly to face whoever spoke to him. A young girl was standing on his porch. Any normal person would question who this random girl was, but this visit had been a few months, no, years in the planning. “Hey.” Yamato answered, putting a hand in his pocket as he looked at her with the same gaze that she gave him: you're weird. “Are you angry?” she asked him, tilting her head slightly as she looked at the metal dummy, walking closer and walking a full circle around the dummy to inspect it. She seemed impressed with the many dents in it as well as the charred specs of paint that were still on it. But the impression that she gave, the impressed one, did not have to be a sincere one. “No.” Yamato simply answered, looking at her as she walked around. “Are you?” he asked in return. Her answer came in the form of a giggle. “No.” An awkward silence ensued as she looked Yamato up and down while Yamato looked her in the eyes. “Good.” he replied after almost 15 seconds of her answer. He was frowning, as always, making him look angry. And in truth he was angry. “You're a chunin?” she asked him now, looking at the flak jacket that he was wearing over his HINATA!-sweater, part of a branded series of clothes that were named after famous shinobi of the past. “Hai. And you?” His sentences were short and powerful, as he stood there with his chest forwards and chin raised. He was the example of a Minamoru, so he had to make sure he was a good example. “I'm a genin. I'll be a chunin in a few weeks, once the Kazekage submits the required paperwork. I received an excemption from the exams due to excellent fieldwork.” she answered his question. A genin still, but she was getting an excemption. That.. barely happens. “That's good. Impressive.” It was then that Yamato noticed that she was wearing the exact same HINATA!-sweater as he was under her camoflaged jacket. “Nice sweater.” She giggled again and pulled her sweater out at the lower hems, looking at it. “Thanks. I bought it an hour ago in a store owned by your father.” The door to the backyard slid open and Rei stood in the dooropening. “Yamato, I need yo- oh. I'll..” She didn't finish her sentence, as her face contorted in anger. The Sunagakure girl likely didn't notice, but Yamato did. It was something he didn't see often. Rei turned around and went back inside, sliding the door back into position with a loud bang as it closed. “What's up with her?” Yamato looked at the Sunagakure girl and stayed silent for a few seconds before looking at the sliding doors. “Her pet died. I'm sorry, I didn't get your name yet.” Two lies in one sentence. Ofcourse he knew why Rei was mad, and he also knew the girls name. It was just.. better to hear it from the girl herself. “I'm Katsui. Katsui no Suna. What about you?” It was peculiar how she added the title 'of the Sand' onto her name. Yamato glanced at the girl again and simply answered, “I'm Yamato no Minamoru.” he said with a slight smile. The first time that Yamato seemingly ever really smiled at anyone that wasn't Rei. She smiled back and giggled. But still Yamato couldn't help but feel like what he had told her had deeper meaning. He wasn't Yamato of the Leaf. He was Yamato of the Minamoru.. who happened to be living in the Leaf.
Yamato clenched his teeth as he noticed the trap. It was a good collaboration of the three shinobi. The third shinobi, which hadn't joined in making a wall, was leaning on one hand which was in the grass. From the grass came several whip vines, like before, except they didn't manifest in the shinobi's hands, but rather shot from the ground attempting to grab Giichi and Yamato. “Grass Release: Grass Stitching...” he said slowly. His voice was deep, and upon mentioning that it should be mentioned that the 2 others also had deep voices, as well as the fourth dead shinobi. With a quick adjustment of body weight Yamato managed to turn his body, kick his feet back and backflip over the vines whilst landing behind one of the shinobi that still had his hand in the grass to hold up the wall. With a quick movement he'd bring up his right knee and kick the man in his face on the right side, forcing him to let go and sending him flying across the grass field. Meanwhile Rei had appeared from behind the wall, having gone around, and as luck would have it jumped out right behind the man that was using the Grass Stitching technique. “RRAAAaaah!” she yelled as she raised her right fist high behind her and sent it down crashing into the man's skull. Ofcourse she wouldn't be in time for the technique to be cancelled before it could reach Giichi, potentially, but even if he did get caught he'd likely be released as soon as Rei's fist hit the man on the skull.
