Shadow had spent 2 years held captive by the dark guild that transformed him. his Captive would forced him to doing sometimes dangerous to test in new found abilities, when he would fail but survive them his captive would torture in varies ways. But he wasn't the only person the dark guild experiment on, their were other children that his captive fused with other animals, they in turn got sick of there captive would would abuse them.
