Nolan stared deadpan out into space from having Karn resting on his head talking about how being with this feminine boy may help him fight with women in the games. He had no comment on the cheeky transforming mage and carried Karn's bag and his own out of the guild with the little draconic cat lying on his head. Was this really a good idea? Would he really be able to be around Karn for two months? It didn't matter to think about it now. It was too late to back out now. He would just have to rough it out until the games begin two months from now. All he had to do was train with Karn and become stronger...and get used to his hugs...and his snuggling...and his dress wearing. His face was as stone cold as usual, but inside it went like this. For their trip the duo remained in a carriage for a majority of it. Nolan, being Nolan, wasn't very talkative and had his nose in a notebook that he was writing in and rarely looked up to observe the the passing scenery. There was only one time that he placed the book down and that was only for him to take a brief nap. When the carriage came to a halt they were faced by a large open body of water, a lake as smooth as glass. Karn obviously protested against it, but after some coercing, which was a method involving Karn latching onto his back as they there were rowed by an elderly man. Soon a landmass appeared in the distance and it kept growing and growing until they reached the shore of an island.
