At worst you have to make a slight compromise with Vahir but I think that won't harm your NS here.

Also even though you are low tech, your size and strength does allow you to carry some frighteningly powerful bows. I think you can consider these as something with the power of late-medieval crossbows but with the efficiency of a bow. Ironically enough your "low tech" is going to be a menace to the 16th century firearm-reliant armies. Better range, firing rate and even armor penetration.
It doesn't really make you OP for various reasons but it will have a certain surprise factor.
