The assumptions that the village had been a death trap or that rogue puppeteers had been involved were ash thanks to the revelations. All the mystery had been ripped away, leaving the sad, simple truth: an uncontrolled bloodline limit, wielded by a lonely, death-seeking man. It was slightly amusing in a way; they had came expecting something ordinary, only to find themselves believing that there were further forces at work, and in the end it had all been simple from the beginning, albeit beyond their expectations. "Konohagakure would have sent somebody even if you had told us the truth, ojisan," continued the green-haired chunin politely, redirecting his attention to the old man before him. The strange bloodline would have caught the attention of every military organisation on the continent had the extent of its powers been known, and his village would have been no different; it was a threat (or possible source of benefit) that would have been nipped in the bud quickly. "There was no need for such deceptions." All of that, however, was in the past. A man sat before them, awaiting his own death with a peaceful gaze. Dotorame was hesitant, unwilling to partake in an act that seemed so utterly wrong. Haruka admired the younger ninja for still being able to subscribe to such morals; it had been long since the nineteen year-old could escape the suffering that would always walk hand in hand with his duties. The life of a shinobi had always been a harsh one, eroding constantly at his mind and ethics. There was a reason why shinobi was written with the same character as endure. He reached out with a gentle hand and placed it upon his companion's shoulder. When he spoke, it was with a far gentler tone: "Osumari-kun, the ojisan has been responsible for the deaths of many, and may possibly continue to be so if alive." It pained him sometimes, having to speak so callously about another man's life. "He desires death. Will you provide it to him?"
