Title- I messed it up , It is "Need you" The Doctor was travelling alone, he didn’t have anybody with him, he often thought about Jack and what he would be doing. He knew Jack was often busy with Torchwood, he though did want to visit his friend. He hated the loneliness and he knew Jack knew what it was like to be lonely and living a long time. While flying the TARDIS, he was sure the TARDIS was picking out somebody calling his name. He was sure it sounded like Jack, but he couldn’t be so sure of that really. But either way the Doctor was going to find out, he was always quick to go and find out who needed his help. He would never leave anybody who needed help if he could. The Doctor flew the TARDIS to where he knew the voice was coming from. If it was Jack, he wondered what the immortal was doing, it hadn’t been often Jack would call out for help like that. He found himself beginning to worry. Had something happened to Jack. The Doctor really cared about his friend and never wanted anything to happen to him. Even if Jack couldn’t die the Doctor did still worry. Jazz Sick, lost, and scared.... In the middle of nowhere, unsure where he, Jack was just roaming aimlessly with rain falling in the area he was in. His vision and mind hazy, all he could think about was how he was going to get back to Torchwood and get the proper care to get rid of this illness he had. He didn't know how he got into the middle of nowhere. His feet sore, his throat dry, his stomach growling, Captain Jack Harkness continued his aimless trek into the unknown lands that he walked through, keeping his favorite over coat wrapped around him, knowing this was the only sense of security he was going to get against the remaining elements. His trek through the lands unknown to him didn't last him long for he was exhausted and still in the middle of nowhere with no sight of inhabitants. Looking to the cloudy skies with the rain still pouring, he realized he could possibly call for help. But unsure if this supposed help could hear him. 'It is worth a shot...I am out of options...He's my only hope...' Shivering, lonely and still scared, Harkness hoped his call would reach out. "Doctor! Help!" He stopped a moment and looked around. "DOCTOR! PLEASE!" MAgic Jack meant a lot to the Doctor, more than he even admitted to himself sometimes. He knew that it was his fault Jack was even immortal in the first place. He really wanted to make sure he was there for Jack if he needed him. It would be cruel to leave Jack if the immortal needed his help. He wasn’t about to leave him. The Doctor landed the TARDIS where he knew Jack would be, he threw open the doors and saw Jack exhausted and scared looking. He was sure that the man was ill, it wasn’t often that he had seen his friend ill, if at all. Last time it was the Doctor who had needed Jack’s care. He goes over to his friend and smiled. “Come lets get you out of the rain before you get even worse.” He knew Jack wouldn’t die, but it wasn’t nice being sick. The Doctor smiled and helps Jack to the TARDIS where he gets him a room and gets him a blanket, though he tosses the man a towel first so he can dry off. “What happened?” The Doctor asked him. He didn’t know why Jack was out his way and in the rain when he was sick. He knew for any normal human that wasn’t good. But Jack wasn’t normal and could survive it. Jazz Harkness was looking around as he made sure that his over coat was securely around him while looking for the familiar blue Police box. Feeling the notion about almost giving up, Jack heard the familiar sounds of the Big blue box. Facing the direction it was landing, wanting to smile but not being able to for he was unsure what may happen. 'Please dont leave me here to suffer...' He thought, his eyes obviously showing how scared he was. Seeing the Time Lord opened the door and step out into the rain to see him, Jack was relieved to see him and willing to accept help from his best friend. Walking into the TARDIS, he felt the security, warmth and comfort that the TARDIS gave every time he would walk inside it. Catching the towel that hit his face, the immortal took off his over coat, sliding his suspenders off his shoulders and unbuttoning his shirt and taking it off so his cold wouldnt get worse, setting it on the railing to dry while he dried his hair, arms, and torso. Hearing the Doctor's question, he didnt bother to take off his shoes though it may make his illness worse. "I...I don't know. It's all fuzzy...I remember working a case with Qwen and Ianto. After we finished, they headed home and after that it just got hazy. I woke up in the middle of nowhere feeling sick. The rain didnt help. I guess I been out in the rain for a few days and been and walking for a few more after that." Jack began coughing like he had a sore throat on top of illness. Jack made sure to cover his mouth when he coughed, his face showing the painful experience he was having. Magic The Time Lord looked at him “Its not like you to be ill that much, Guess just bad luck hah?” he knows he needs to get Jack’s shoes off, he careful takes them off. He knows he should contact Torchwood to let them know Jack is safe, but for now he just wants to look after his friend. He could see Jack was quite miserable. Though The Doctor always makes sure his friends get better, He wraps the blankets around Jack when he’s all dry. The Doctor smiled and gets him some water “Here, are you hungry?” he doubts Jack has eaten anything while out there, but he’s unsure just how sick his friend is feeling right now. He doesn’t want to upset his stomach. The Doctor careful places a hand on Jack’s forehead to check for a fever. “I’ll make sure you get better, some tea might help your throat.” Though Jack’s flirting could be annoying sometimes, he did care about Jack and wouldn’t wish illness on any of his friends. He rubbed Jack’s back as he coughed, he was attempting to calm him down. He smiled softly and made sure Jack was comfortable. “How about you rest while I make you some soup and tea, that’s if you want it.” He knew Jack needed to get some rest and be warmed up. He was worried and hugged him softly, he wasn’t wary of catching a cold from Jack, he didn’t care, he just wanted his friend well again. Jazz Jack chuckled weakly, "Yeah...guess it is..." Jack indeed felt miserable and wanted to get better. Sitting on the lounge chair there, he noted that a little later on, his shoes were no longer on his feet and maybe is socks. All he knew was that his feet were cold and he sat cris cross on the lounge chair, keeping the blanket securely around him. Jack felt the back of the doctor's hand against his forehead like he was checking for a fever. Jack was indeed running a fever but it was a mild fever. It would take some time before Jack would feel well again. The Immortal was enjoying the Time Lord's touch for he had leaned into his hand a little. Jack coughed again, feeling a hand rub his back to calm and soothe him. He smiled at the Doctor's continuous rephrasing of the decisions of what he was going to do for Jack. "Soup and some tea does sound nice..." Feeling a warm body next to him, Jack leaned into the warmth of the Doctor's embrace. "Mind if I have a warm bath and some dry clothes...?" Harkness asked him, though he didnt want to leave the Doctor's embrace. Magic The Doctor smiled a bit . He luckily had a lot of clothes aboard the TARDIS. He wanted to make sure Jack was comfortable. He smiled a bit and gets him some dry clothes “Course not, here go take a bath and the spare bedroom is yours.” He knew Jack would be more comfortable in a bed. Looking after his friends was never a burden, it just was what he wanted to do. “I’ll go make some soup and call your friends to let them know you are safe” he could see Jack was enjoying the comfort. It was too hard to leave him like that, but he could always hug him more after, he hoped he still had some medicine. Though he knew he would have to go and gets some from a store if he didn’t. Once he headed to the kitchen, he got out some things for soup and called Torchwood. “Yeah I found Jack, he’s just ill, I’ll take care of him though,” he was talking to Ianto. He knew all of Jack’s friends would be worried. Jazz Jack nodded slowly before leaning out of the Doctor's hug before he had gone to get him some clothes. When the Time Lord came back with clothes for the Immortal, Jack slowly stood, not caring about his feet's discomfort to the grate floor. Walking over to the bathroom, hoping he remembered, the immortal walked into the bathroom and closed the door. Undressing and separating his wet clothes from dry clothes and blanket, Jack turned on the water to a comfortable temperature, Harkness let the water fill the tub to a decent level before getting in and let himself relax and soak. His coughing continued and wouldn't seem to leave him be as he continued to soak. Staying in the bath for about 10 to 14 minutes, Jack soon got out of the tub and dried off before putting on some dry clothes. Once dressed the Immortal took his wet clothes, the blanket around him while walking to the spare bedroom that the Doctor mentioned. Arriving to the spare room, he set his wet clothes aside, flopping down on the bed and curling up. His coughing continued and wouldn't lighten up. Groaning, he felt miserable for what felt like the first time in his life. __________________ Ianto had answered the phone and conversing with the Doctor, relieved with the safety of their leader. "Thank goodness. Do you know what happened to him?" Magic “I don’t know, I just found him sick and scared calling out my name, he was in the rain and says he doesn’t remember much of what happened after the mission, Just waking sick in the middle of nowhere.” It was clear the Doctor was quite worried “I know I shouldn’t worry so much when he cant die, but its not nice being sick and sure dying over and over must be miserable for him.” The time lord went on, he wanted Jack to be well. He knew Ianto would be worried. He wondered if he should get Jack back to Torchwood and look after him there. He didn’t want Ianto and the others being too worried and he knew he needed to get Jack somewhere safe. “Anyways, I should go and finish this soup.” He knew Jack was miserable and he could hear him coughing. “Yeah I really should go make sure he’s ok, he seemed miserable.” He was starting on the soup as he spoke on the phone and he was looking for medicine. He made sure that the soup wasn’t too heavy as he didn’t want to make Jack throw up. He wished he could make him feel better.
