"It's a straightforward mission," he spoke, just loud enough so that Sentou and Paneru could hear him as they ran. "Shouldn't be any problems, but important nonetheless." He looked back over his shoulders at his two partners. Sentou still went without a shirt, which was always nice. Paneru was also feminine, though notably without breasts for he was still male. One of two. Not bad, I suppose. Would've preferred Fubuki or Aoi though, Shin began musing in his head as he returned his gaze forward. They didn't have to travel long before Shin heard noises ahead, like someone shouting. From what the information they were given, it was vague how far out the convoy had gone before being attacked. But this was in the direction. His expression grew stern and he raised his voice. "Something's going on up ahead," he spoke before bringing his hands together. Four consecutive handseals later, he held his arms out to his sides. Crystal formed along his forearms, spreading out and forming the shape of bladed tonfas. The orange crystal weapons appeared sharp and gleamed with the smallest amount of sunlight. "Prepare to fight." Shin jumped onto a tree branch, using it to springboard himself ahead faster. He landed in a grassy clearing, kicking up dirt as he skidded to a halt. While he was already in a stance with the two blades crossed in front of each other, Shin quickly assessed the situation and stood upright. Up ahead was Yamato and two genin, one was his sister, fighting three people he didn't recognize. Furthermore: the mystery trio were getting demolished by Yamato and co. Shin simply stood still for a moment, staring at the fight, unsure what to do. Should he help? They clearly didn't need it. "Uh..." escaped him as he brought his hands back to his sides. "Did we go the right way...?"
