Hi all. I've tried a couple of attempts to launch this RP in Advanced, without success. So I've chosen to post it here, because this is a story I want to tell. =D

Warriors of Sengun is a Pokémon role-play, set in a new region and featuring 64 new Pokémon in addition to those that have been found in other regions. I've detailed quite a lot for the Sengun region, its new species, and the storyline. I will provide more information on most subjects in the OOC tab when the thread is launched properly - not giving the story away too early! (The thread is already prepared for publishing. I'm just used to putting up a thread as it is instead of needing to place an interest check first.) Sengun is a somewhat large island region, home to ten Kingdoms: the region is divided up into smaller territories, each with an affinity for different types of Pokémon and a central city that serves as that Kingdom's capital. It also plays host to a special type of Trainer: Warriors, individuals who do battle alongside their Pokémon allies. Armed with martial arts training and one of Sengun's unique Warrior Skills - special abilities that a Warrior can call on in battle - Warrior Trainers can be found everywhere in Sengun, from travelling Trainers to the region's Kings and Queens. (Raven's Note: Several things about Sengun, including the Ten Kingdoms, Warriors, and Warrior Skills, were inspired by the spin-off game Pokémon Conquest, otherwise known as Pokémon + Nobunaga's Ambition.) The player-characters, including my own, will be beginner Pokémon Trainers seeking to begin their journey on Sengun's Pokémon League Challenge, which has only recently been launched alongside an extensive advertising campaign in other regions. The Sengun League offers a substantial cash reward to anyone who reaches the rank of Champion, after having bested the Gym Leaders and Elite Four. Of course, as we will discover, Sengun has more going on than just the Pokémon League...
Co-GM: [@NeoAC] has agreed to fill the role of co-GM, much as I do for The Road to Indigo. Participants: The total number of participants should be no more than seven or eight, including myself and my co-GM who has already expressed interest in the story I plan to tell. So we're looking for five or six more to sign up, but acceptance will not be on a first-come-first-served basis. Once the thread has launched properly, the quality of the applications is what will count the most towards getting in. Posts: I think my standards of writing may be slightly stricter than the average Casual GM. Average post length should probably be somewhere in the two to three paragraph range. (Collaborative posts will definitely add to post length, and are more than welcome.) Posts should be as free as possible of issues in spelling or grammar. As for frequency of posts, I'd like to see a somewhat frequent post rate: participants shouldn't take more than two weeks to get things done. Those who don't post will be messaged at least once or twice. In-Universe Mechanics: - Warriors of Sengun will follow Gen VI mechanics and movesets as of Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. The new species have been designed to fit into the same style. - When it comes to things like battling opponents or catching Pokémon, there are no dice rolls, secret trickery or exploitable loopholes to worry about; it's all up to the writer to detail what their character does. If you want to win a match, you describe how you win. A player-vs-player match, however, should be discussed between the appropriate participants before any writing takes place. - I will update the levels and moves of all characters' Pokémon on a regular basis. Subjects like levels and base stats will not be discussed in-character, and certain details like EVs and IVs won't be used at all. We're borrowing some of the style used by the Pokémon anime in this way. - Including the new species that I have designed, there will be about 300 Pokémon (including the new species) available to choose from over the course of the story. I've restricted the numbers because I don't want to keep tabs on each and every species, especially since I've added to the total. - Mega Evolution will become available over the course of the story, but characters will not begin the role-play with Key Stones or Mega Stones, as I have replaced them with new items exclusive to the Sengun region.
Questions, comments and interest are all welcome. =)
