Sorry I wasn't on yesterday. We were incredibly busy. Like, almost no wifi busy. [@Heroic] I don't think I'll participate if you do it. It just wouldn't feel right. It's a different kind of immersion, and not the one that makes MR what it is. The roleplayers in such a thread would never be able to switch to our format, because they wouldn't be able to appreciate the true essence of MR. It'd just take up extra time we don't have. For example, the battle that you played out would have been vastly different. Even David's mystery arc wouldn't go quite right. I've become entirely disillusioned to the idea of writing thoughts on the roleplay. Extra attack description? I could do it--but it would be so different. So even would describing tones and how the character speaks. It's supposed to be implied--MR is all about understanding. Back on iFunny, you implied actions. From then until now, personality, speech, feelings, and all sorts of things were meant to be discovered, thought of. I almost dare to say that you won't find people as good at roleplaying as we are in Casual. Our roleplay is vastly different from any other roleplay out there. It's special. There's no gradually easing people in from one format to the other, because people of that format just won't know how to understand like we do. It won't accomplish anything in the long run or the short term. It'll just be another multiverse RP that happens to be a bit more creative--but not to the degree it is now.
Your first paragraph basically explains why I'm willing to switch formats for the sake of expanding our horizons. People won't be willing to adopt our format, and if the customers don't come to you, you come to them. Your second is another reason. There's almost no one else willing to RP like us, and as such couldn't ever come join us here. If we want to grow our playerbase, someone is going to have to adapt to the community. It only becomes just another generic role play if you let it. There are ways to describe thoughts and feelings without actually giving away information in your writing regarding puzzles or secrets that need to be found out. Also, again, the fact that hardly anyone out there is willing to RP like us virtually makes this a requirement. Never mentioned easing anyone anywhere. The point is that we go get other people, not wait and hope that the people we know won't join us do so. If we come to them and get them interested, maybe that could start a drive to understand this main thread and how it works.
