Meesei did not especially relish the thought of leaving Harriet when she was in such an emotional state, but Lorag and the other guards were there to keep watch over her. Lorag had shown the capability to fight her on his own, so with the help of the guards, Meesei doubted she would try anything. 

As soon as Meesei entered the room with Sabine and Carana, she could see the state that Sabine was in. This test was weighing heavily on Sabine's mind, and while Meesei did not fully understand all of the dangers herself, she knew Sabine well enough to know to take them seriously. She met Sabine's eye contact with a short hug, trying to, just for a moment, get her mind off of the task.

When Meesei finally began to speak, her tone was caring, but unmistakably serious. "Sabine, what I am about to ask is very important. This test, it will give results that I would like to know, but by no means is this vital to the investigation. Even without testing the contents, the vial is usable evidence. If, at any point during this test, you feel that you are in danger, I want you to do anything you can to ensure you an Carana remain safe, even if it means abandoning the test. I want no one else to be harmed by this vile toxin. My question is can you ensure your safety? Please, be entirely truthful. I do not want you to take any risks for this, no matter how much you think it will help. If you do not believe you will be able to get out of harm's way if something goes wrong, then we will not do the test."
