If we assume that the Wi has been widespread for something like 8 years, I'm still not sure if humans would have truly grasped it, much less started declaring themselves masters at it. Oh, there's also how twice we have been given a rough approximation of a human's age: the father in the story about the ambush is about 30, and one of Kho's posts mention a woman that is around 90.
