Having almost exited the building, Aiace was about ready to go pick up one or two supplies and head back to the cozy kitchen he had access to when a vague memory sparked at the back of his brain, prompting him to place his notebook under his arm and dig through his bag once again. Didn't I already...oh no! Pulling out one of the books inside, his expression changed to one of surprise and slight dismay as he realized what he had forgotten. I was supposed to return this book today! I have to get it back to the library before I end up fined...and I don't want the librarian mad at me, either. He's too scary. The boy shuddered a bit as he remembered the man in charge of the books. Something about him was just generally terrifying to the young feline, though he wasn't sure if it was just the imposing appearance he seemed to have or the weird feeling he got from him. He smelled like something else he would rather avoid as well, though he couldn't imagine why a school staff member would have such a scent. Surely I'm overreacting...it's just because he looks intimidating, that's all...and my mind must be playing off that to increase my aversion...yeah, that's it... With an attempt to gulp back his fear, he returned his notebook to his bag and clutched the other tome to his chest as he turned and began to walk in the direction of the library. Who knows? Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll be too busy to see me. I can just drop it off at the desk and leave without seeing him at all.
