Just out of curiosity: your dislike of fanfiction: Is that all forms of storytelling set in universes created by other people, or just stories set around movies/books set in such universes?
To use Star wars as an example:
Do you dislike any story set in that universe, no matter how far it is taken in time from "Canon" sources?
Or do you dislike anything set, say around the movies?
Or is it anything involving Canon characters?

Would you still dislike fanfic in the form of a fandom OC story set in a universe created by others than the storytellers?

Are you mostly into playing stories with one other (1x1) or group stories?
