Arc 2: Ronin Takedown? Surprise Visit!
With their mission concluded, Aoi, Daiki and Haruka went back home, followed by Rin and Dotomare. The mission had been a success, but had it really been? They hadn't received payment, and it seemed Dotomare had lost hopes of becoming a shinobi. It just wasn't what it seemed. As they arrived back in Konoha Dotomare seemed to head straight to the Hokages office to file for a removal from the shinobi position. Likely, he'd spend years working in the supportive administration now, or become a medical nin. Never the less the plan for the scroll retrieval missions was still on - team Megumi would still need to investigate in the land of Iron regardless of the team being incomplete. However, the Hokage seemed pleased with the progress that team Aoi had made, commending her for her efforts in bringing this mission to an end - ofcourse, he didn't hear much of the details where they killed the man because he wanted to. It was self defense. As such he rewarded team Aoi with commendations and a bit of money from his own pocket. Furthermore they were instructed to prepare for the coming mission, where Aoi would be joining Yamato and Nobunaga, lead by Tsukiko, where as Daiki and Haruka would be placed in the same team again under Ayame. As for team Yamato, the Hokage was also pleased with their progress although the indicators that there were spies snooping around in the land of fire seemed worrying. Never the less Rei and Giichi were both commended for their actions, helping Yamato take care of the shinobi. They received a positive marking for their high school classes, that they had to attend 2 days a week unless otherwise called for by the Hokage. It seemed now was such a week, as they'd be leaving on a mission soon. Yamato was informed of the team he was in. It seemed he got stuck with Nobunaga and Aoi, as well as Tsukiko. Lovely. After that Rei was informed she'd be heading back to school, while Giichi was asked to rest and prepare for the mission that would take place in two days. He would be placed under leadership of Megumi Tanpopo, the Dandelion Seed, along with Rin and a yet to be named other shinobi. As for team Shin, with Sentou and Paneru, their mission would ultimately be conducted in a succesful manner, and a report was to be given to Ayame, who thanked them for their efforts. It seemed she was right in asking Shin to make the report - it was a solid report, and she had doubts that Sentou would be able to do it in the same style. As soon as they'd try to walk off, Ayame would interrupt them and tell them to prepare for an excursion to outer lands in 2 days. “Sentou, you're in my team. Shin, Paneru, you're with Fujitora, my brothe. Take care of him, Kami knows he can't do it himself.” she'd tell them with a wink, to denote it was a joke. After that Ayame would vanish right before their eyes with blinding speed, as she was headed for the hospital. Upon arrival she once again paid a surprise visit to Jaakuna. “I see Paneru has taken good care of you. But you'll need to get up now and get ready to leave in two days. You'll be under command of Fujitora, along with Paneru and Shin. Get a move on.” Her usual smile had made place for a serious look, as this mission would depend on the recovery of all the scrolls. If one team failed, it was possible the samurai would see it as an aggression on part of Konoha, and attack. She left him with a short nod and vanished again, quick as lightning, headed for a large appartment building. With quick jumps Ayame arrived at the building, landing at the bottom of the tower before jumping up and using chakra at her feet to allow her to climb the building. If she remembered correctly.. 37T. She continued on her way up to floor T, before heading to room 37. Ah, this was it. With some quick sleight of hand she opened the kitchen window, which overlooked the city of Konoha, and entered through it. Takeshi oughta' lock his room better. She walked into the living room and saw nothing so continued into the bedroom. Perhaps he was sleeping.. he had vanished from the hospital after all, perhaps he had just walked here in a daze of craziness and slept on here. Something caught her ear however. Something about farts. She walked in completely and only found Takeshi with an unknown woman. She kept a straight face however, this wasn't the first time she'd walked in on something intimate.. atleast, it appeared intimate. “Takeshi! Attention!” she yelled at him, no doubt surprising him. She had moved silently like a cat, a trained assassin after all. “You got out of the hospital and I hardly care how. Get ready to leave in 2 days, you're going with Hideyoshi Sawada, together with two newcomers - Saburo and Akio. At ease, Takeshi!” Her voice was loud and clear, and without waiting for an answer she left again headed for the kitchen, jumping into the windowsill and jumping away. She had bussinesses to attend to.

2 days later - Hokage square, in front of the Hokage's office complex

Ayame Choko, “the Sewstress”
8:15 AM.
In front of the Hokage's office all the respective jonins had gathered. There was Ayame, Fujitora, Hideyoshi, Tsukiko, and then Megumi. They had gathered in a standard gathering formation, standing in a line with atleast some space between each of them. As soon as everyone of the chunin and genin had arrived Ayame would speak up. “LISTEN UP! Today we'll be going after some scrolls that were stolen from the land of Iron. A ronin there pretended to be a man interested in samurai training, giving up a life of technology and joining the ranks of the samurai, who detest technology. We'll be acting without acknowledgement of the samurai's to retrieve the scrolls, so this is a politically sensitive mission too. If we obtain the scrolls we will hand them back, naturally, in an attempt to reconcile the relations between Konoha and the land of Iron. Now form up!” Her voice was loud, and almost as authorative as her brother's title was. Ayame was taking this mission seriously, as it offered a chance. A chance at appeasing a certain someone, to show them that Ayame was strong. As such she had a grim, serious and emotionless expression on her face. As soon as the chunin and genin had formed up in respective teams, she'd walk to the most right jonin. From the right to left, the jonin were lined up from Megumi, to Hideyoshi, to Tsukiko, to Fujitora and finally, respectively her own team. She'd raise her hand in the air, then point her open hand at Megumi. She was going to go through the process of explaining each teams respective tasks and goals. “Team Tanpopo! Your task it to infiltrate the Village hidden in Swords, a new village created by samurai, and to uncover info about the ronin we'll be chasing. Act with utmost care, if you get caught, the entire mission shall be jeopardized!” She'd take a few more steps until she'd stand in front of the chunin, and in front of Hideyoshi. Once again she'd raise her hand and swiftly point it at Hideyoshi. She raised her voice once more and looked Hideyoshi in the eyes, with a serious stare. “Team Sawada! Your task entails tracking down and obtaining the Scroll of Heavenly Armor! It's uses are known to Konoha, so you may not open the scroll to win information for us! Do not jeopardize the mission! The scroll is said to be in hands of the Korenato Yakuza clan, whose ranks are filled with Ronin like the one that stole the scrolls! Be careful, no lifes may be lost today! Your target is in Kumogakure, and we have obtained permission to engage and eliminate the threat.” Per standard she'd continue towards the next jonin, which was Tsukiko. Her task was similar but different from that of team Sawada. She raised her hand high in the air and lowered it again in the direction of Tsukiko. “Team Umene! Your task is to obtain the Scroll of Heavenly Steel! We already know the contents of this scroll, and as such you are also not permitted to open the scroll! Your objective is moving, and as such you have been selected Tsukiko. The scroll is in hands of the travelling Fushido Yakuza clan, who are currently wandering in Sunagakure, in the desert. They have shinobi in their ranks so exercise care, but hit them with extreme destruction!” She moved on to Fujitora, standing right in front of him and looking at the chunin. She seemed to ignore Fujitora on purpose. Perhaps for a reason, perhaps because she knew he already knew what he had to do. Regardless, she'd raise her hand and point at the chunin. “Team Choko #1! You are to track down the third scroll, the Scroll of Demonic Faces! Konoha has never heard of this scroll, and there was no record of this scroll in the library, so don't open it because it could be a fake scroll. Don't get trapped. Fujitora knows where to go, I'll leave it to him to instruct you.” She continued on her way and stood in front of the team she was supposed to be leading. She put her hands in her sides and looked at her own team. “As for team Choko #2, we'll be following the Ronin! Our mission is to take him down and capture him to extradite him to the land of Iron, with a secondary mission of obtaining a large scroll he has! This scroll is a summoning scroll for Kawarigimi, a sacred samurai sword that is owned, or was owned, by the Samurai lord.” With a final glance over the teams she let out a final command. “MOVE OUT.”
As for team Choko #2, they'd be headed for the Kannabi bridge, a bridge that has recently been rebuilt by Iwagakure shinobi in an effort to improve the logistics between Konoha and Iwagakure. If they headed here, they'd be able to intercept the team. Before departing, she shot Sentou, Daiki and Haruka a short gaze before jumping off, in a pace they'd be able to follow for a long time before they'd need to rest. During the travel, which would take a few hours even at shinobi speeds, she'd brief them on her strategy plan. “Listen up. You're chunin now, and you have nothing left to prove. There will be no glory-searching under my command.” As she said these words she looked at Daiki and Sentou. Haruka didn't seem like the type to be that way. “More over, that means we'll act like a team. Nobody will go off on a plan without inquiring me, and the others, first. Understood?” She asked a question but didn't wait for a reply. The answer was 'yes' and she knew it. Moving on quickly, jumping from branch to branch, she continued without even looking back at them. “As such that means I have made a strategy for our 3 man cell. First off, we will use stealth to hide until we get an opportunity. I will then throw senbon at him, and poison him. The poison I've prepared for this mission should slow him down considerably, but it won't be fatal and it won't knock him out either. It destroys the connections between the muscles and the brain temporarily, slowing him down. After that we can chase him down until he is tired. Are you with me?” As soon as the three man cell behind her had answered, she'd continue with her explanation. “Daiki, Haruka, you are in the blocking squad. As soon as I give the command, you will dash forwards and get in his way. Make sure he won't get past you. Sentou, once they keep him occupied, you will get behind the ronin and block his escape. You have to use chidori, but you need to aim for his leg. This will allow us to capture him and take his scroll, after which we can extradite him to the samurai in hopes of them acknowledging us again.” Her voice was that of a true commander, serious, firm and easy to listen to. There was also a hint of authority in her voice once again. “Questions?”

Yamato Minamoru, “Young Master”

Yamato had arrived precisely on time, jumping down from a building that surrounded the square in front of the Hokages' office. He quickly got in line with Tsukiko, looking bored out of his mind already. He put a hand in his flak jacket pocket while looking around, trying to see who else would arrive. As soon as Nobunaga and Aoi arrived he'd look at Tsukiko. She was.. pretty. But that was about all she looked like, to Yamato. Obviously they'd be waiting for some time, and he felt like he should say something to Tsukiko as Yamato had never met her before, and had only heard things about her. “Yo.” he said, calmly. He didn't feel particularily impressed by her, even though he had heard she was quite impressive. She didn't look impressive. She didn't look like anything at all.. had the Hokage promoted her for her tits? Seemed like it. “I'm Yamato Minamoru.” he continued as he looked Tsukiko in her eyes, looking rather bored as always. “Can we leave already?” His words had the characteristical aggressive and rude undertone that they always had, almost as if he spat the words out rather than said them. “If you want, I can even co-lead the mission for you.” he added, making it sound like he was volunteering to be side captain. Mumbling to himself he added on, however. “I'd probably do a better job than miss Titty over there, anyway.” Yamato was obviously not in a good mood today, but then again was he ever? As Ayame explained the mission Yamato couldn't help but notice that something had changed about Ayame. She seemed more serious and.. saddened? It wasn't the correct word, but it felt like she was. Somehow her happiness had vanished, a change that Yamato could appreciate. The world wasn't a happy place, so people didn't have to pretend to be happy. The mission seemed to be simple. Kill some guys, get a scroll, rendezvous with Ayame to extradite the captive and the scrolls. It was easy.. did they really need 5 full teams for this? “Ah, Tsukiko.” he said once Ayame was done and had gone off with her own team, omitting the honorific. “Seems Ayame prepared for this mission. Do we have some stupid procedure you want us to operate by, or can we just go and kill some guys.” The question wasn't really aimed to be a question, it was more meant to test if Tsukiko had actually done her homework and constructed a tactic for the team. Yamato was guessing she didn't. But because of the nature of the question, his words came across hostile and rude, and aggressive for no reason, too.

Saburo Uchiha, “Kimyōna”
Saburo had woken up somewhat early as he intended to do some shopping. He was lucky there was a store near his house that opened at 7 AM. As soon as he walked out the door he had two bags in each hand, filled to the brim with mostly healthy foods. Carrying the large sacks home, he swayed from side to side under the heavy bags. Some man even yelled at him, early in the morning. “OY! Kimyōna! Watch where you're going, ba-a-a-a-aka!” Saburo's reaction was going to set the tone for the rest of the day. He stopped dead in his tracks and turned around to the man, who had raised a fist to him. “Good morning to you, too, my Konohagakure elder friend! I hope the Sage of the Six Paths has blessed your early morning, and will bless it the rest of the day! I also hope that he doesn't take your life away today, so you can continue to spend time in the hospitality of Konohagakure like all the other friendly companions that house in this village! Furthermore I wish you a happy day today, the 26th of August at aproximately 7:30AM.” He smiled a cheesy, obviously fake smile, although it's intent was to be serious and well meant. The man didn't seem to appreciate it however as he shook his fist at Kimyōna some more. Thinking it was a sign of friendliness, Saburo dropped the two bags in his right hand and smiled, raising his fist and shaking it at the man too. It was like Saburo had never even heard of rudeness, but then again he had only been back in the village for aproximately two weeks. He continued on his way afterwards, taking the bags and carrying them home. “What a friendly man, that man there. I hope to get a real friend like him some day, perhaps someone my age, so they can care for my safety as I walk down the streets, too. One day, Saburo, one day..” Saburo said to himself out loud as he entered his home. He quickly unloaded the bags and then grabbed his flak vest, which he had loaded with tools. Kunai, shuriken, senbon. It was all in order. He quickly checked the back pouch where he stored his explosive tags. “Hoh, not enough..” There were only a couple of tags left, so Saburo grabbed a summoning scroll from his kitchen compartment and formed the tiger seal with both hands. “Summoning Jutsu: Unload Tags!” Out of nowhere a stack of easily 40 explosive tags appeared and he stuffed them into the pouch. That should be enough. He put on the flak vest and headed out, closing the door behind him and walking to the square at the Hokages' Office. Konoha.. was such a beautiful village. He arrived at the square right on time, at 8:14. Slowly he'd walk up to the man, whose name he knew, Hideyoshi. He'd fall in line with the people he had never met. Akio, Takeshi. Strange combo. Never the less he greeted them. “Very nice morning to you, comrades of the Village hidden in Leaves, otherwise known as Konohagakure! Has the Sage of the Six Paths blessed your day today? I hope to denote to you that I want to become friends for the duration of the mission, so that we can fulfil it together. I believe something like that is called comrades!” he said with a very fast way of speaking. As an awkward silence fell, his eyes opened wide and he looked quite surprised. Had he done something wrong? Oh, ofcourse! Slowly his hand would go in the air, before closing into a fist. He'd shake it at them whilst smiling. “Please accept this signature of friendliness!”
