The tricks she used on others likely wouldn't work on Yamato - he was too sure of himself to feel scared by someone he barely knew. Especially if she was annoying as Tsukiko. Aoi largely went ignored, too. Yamato had learned to zone out of Aoi's annoying voice during his working hours, where he'd be forced to listen to the girl for hours on end. Besides, if there was a liability to this team, it was most definetely Aoi. Yamato clenched his teeth and balled up his fists as Tsukiko spoke, but he restrained himself from lashing out. Instead, he verbally retorted. “Looking at you, I'll be carrying the mission on my back. Adding my ego to that won't hurt me. I suggest you don't try to intimidate me. It'd only strain our working relationship, Tsukiko.” He once again omitted her honorific, not deeming her worthy of any respect so far. Besides, she had not even the decency to feign interest in miss Choko's speech. Bored with Tsukiko's antics he stuck a hand in his flak jacket's pocket. Tsukiko lowered her face to Yamato's face to answer him later on, another attempt to intimidate him no doubt. He didn't move back, like Tsukiko had probably anticipated him to do as she had no clue who Yamato even was, and was largely unaware of his personality as she had just demonstrated. Rather, he moved his face forwards as well and clenched his teeth, showing them in a show of battle-lust, even if it were just an argument. “Sounds like a shit plan, Tsukiko.” To Aoi and Nobunaga, it would probably be very, very unclear who was trying to annoy who, and in reality it would probably turn out that both Yamato and Tsukiko were trying to annoy eachother until either of the two caved. It was the fate of two arrogant and aggressive personalities that met. Whilst it sounds compatible, they were essentially the same after all, in reality this was often not the case.. Yamato and Tsukiko likely both suffered from the need to assert themselves and make themselves feel above the others, which in both cases was also largely true if you looked at the power levels. But when two of these people try to outdo eachother.. it'd become a rivalry, or worse, a strained relationship. Currently, it was looking more like the latter. “So your plan is literally 'I make traps, and you sit back'? What kind of self proclaimed jonin makes these plans.. my genin sister could make a better plan. They're in a desert - they could take days to reach our trapped location, if they don't take a detour. Instead we should go to where we know they will come, which is an oasis. Kami, are you really this stupid.. baka.. I wonder if the Hokage is punishing me for giving me these lousy missions and teams.. baka Hokage..” Yamato said with a biting tone to Tsukiko. Even though he said it aggressively and in a rude fashion, Tsukiko would have to realize that setting up traps in a desert was both painstakingly tough, and it would take a master strategist to calculate where they'd move. And even then, the error margin would be huge. Furthermore a desert is huge, they could literally be going anywhere and the team lacked the intel to calculate where the Yakuza clan was moving.. never the less, Yamato realized from Tsukiko's way of speaking and her aggressive but somewhat acceptable, for a jonin, body language that she'd probably not admit Yamato had a point. It wouldn't surprise him if she later on decided that they should set up traps near an oasis however.. she seemed backwards like that. “But I suppose you won't listen to me.. listen to Aoi or Nobunaga instead. They'll make sure to get us killed faster than you will.” His vision would switch to Aoi, as he'd only now retort to her annoying remark. The fire in his eyes was burning again and anyone that was still around could easily tell he was getting fired up. Never the less his body remained calm, unlike other times. Maybe Tsukiko's presence prevented him from physically threatening his comrades, or maybe he realized that in order to fulfill the mission more easily they could use shinobi that were not beaten up. “Leading a 5 man cell with 2 other chunin who actually have a clue about being a shinobi, and then pretending to be the leader.. making a kid drop out from the field force..? That's hardly great leadership.. more like being a failed shinobi. But I suppose you can be proud for killing an old, defenseless man.. that must've took skill, Aoi. I'm sure he cowered in fear as you towered above him, ready to stab him. Baka. You have no clue about leadership, or about being a shinobi. You can't even write the word shinobi. Fool.”
