Jazz Jack nodded, staying on the bed as he waited for the Doctor to return. As he waited, the immortal started spacing off. Trying to think back on what happened to him. How he ended up in the middle of no where, how he ended up sick like he did, and who could have done this to him. Closing his eyes while he was laying on the bed, Jack took a deep breath. Looking through his memories, the immortal was running through what had happened the day before all this happened. Sadly, there was no success. When the Time Lord returned, he sat up slowly and took the bowl and began to eat. Magic The Doctor sits by Jack again, he wondered how Jack had gotten sick as well, he knew Jack was hardly sick. He was still going to look after Jack the best he could. He didn’t want anything to get worse with Jack. He kept a bucket by the bed, even if Jack was doing ok with food he left it there encase it was needed. He though did hope Jack wouldn’t need it. “We need to go somewhere fun when you are better,” The Doctor said. He was smiling a bit, he loved travelling with Jack as well. He was worried about him still, he knew even if anything went wrong that Jack would just revive. He was feeling sorry for Jack being so ill, he didn’t wish this on his friend. The Time Lord almost wished he was ill and not Jack. Going through the last of the soup, and setting it aside, Harkness rose as eye brow when the Doctor mentioned about doing something fun. "You and I have many definitions of fun, Doctor. You have elaborate on that term a little more." He laughed. Though only being truthful. To these two men, there were many meanings to the word, fun. Some of them the two could agree with and go do. Magic “Ohh You know travelling, I know you like that, you often did tell me you missed it,” The Doctor was also lonely, he wanted somebody to travel the stars with, he was alone and it was miserable, He wrapped his arm around Jack and looked into his eyes. He seemed to be enjoying hugging Jack. “Though suppose you have other definitions of fun,” He was more meaning in regards to travelling with that word right now. He sure of his feelings yet, He gets up again and comes back with a thermometer though. He really needs to check Jacks temperature; He knows it will be miserable for Jack if it gets high. He puts the thermometer in Jacks mouth. Jazz A smile appeared on Jack's lips, his eyes looking down to the bowl on his lap when the Doctor had said about Harkness telling the Time Lord that he missed travelling. He looked into the eyes of the Doctor when he had wrapped his arms around the immortal. He was about to speak his mind about definitions of fun when decided to keep his mouth shut. Before he could really answer, he noticed the man before him had left real quick and comes back with a thermometer. Jack rose his eyebrow as if silently saying 'Really? Why?' But then he remembered that he was sick still. He opened his mouth willingly and let the thermometer go under his tongue. The Thermometer read 110 degrees F though Jack didnt show that he was that sick. When the Doctor took it out of his mouth, Harkness decided to speak. "Well you know I have some of the same definitions of fun as you do. But I also have my other definitions of fun." Magic The Doctor could tell that Jack wasn’t really remembering he was sick, though he supposed that was a good thing in ways, as Jack would not be noticing how miserable he was as much “Ah 110 degrees F, Maybe should get you some medicine or a wash cloth, know you cant die, But that fever will get uncomfortable if it gets higher,” he was looking at Jack. He puts the thermometer aside for now. “Yes I know that Jack,” he was looking at him. He seemed pleased Jack was happy for now. He hugged him again. “Doesn’t look like you are paying attention that you are sick anymore.” He gets him water and puts it by the bed encase he needs it. Jazz Jack nodded, knowing that he would have to be careful now that he knew what his temperature was. Though now that the Doctor said something about it, Jack was been truly not noticing that he had been sick. That was okay though for he just let it be. "Thanks for the note. i wanted to keep forgetting so it wouldn't be an issue." He told the Time Lord with some sarcasm. He couldn't help it though. Magic The Doctor was looking at him “Sorry to bring it up, Just don’t want you feeling worse later.” He was laying by him and wanted to make him feel better. He snuggled up to his friend and was looking into his eyes. “I know your probably trying to distract yourself from feeling miserable, But if you do ignore it too much it will be far more miserable later.” He wasn’t sure Jack would be able to ignore it then. He gets him the water and passes him some medicine. “Here should help.” He knew he needed to give him medicine to try and ease some of his symptoms. He noticed Jack wasn’t coughing badly right at the moment. Jazz Jack knew he was right. If he was to ignore it for so long than he would only make his sickness last longer and would never get better. Setting the bowl on the nightstand, the immortal and laid down, surprised that the doctor laid down next to him on the bed and snuggled to him. He snuggled up to the Doctor, though he was taller than the Time Lord, he rested his chest on him and closed his eyes. Short lived though when he had to sit and be given some medicine. He took it and had drunk the water before he gave the cup back to the Doctor. Laying down, Jack had snuggled up to the Doctor once again and closed his eyes. Magic The Doctor only wished he could do more, even his skills only went so far, He smiled when Jack closed his eyes, the time lord just stroked his hair. He was glad when Jack had taken medicine. He hoped Jack would get more sleep as he knew it would help him recover. The Doctor held him and just closed his eyes again. “Tired Jack?” he asked him. He wasn’t about to move really. He knew that Jack was comfortable so this time he was going to stay still, at least until Jack wanted something. The Time lord hadn’t even got himself food yet. Jazz Jack nodded his head lazily while his head was still on the Doctor's chest. He was indeed tired and this must have been the limit he was going to be at for a while till he got better. "If you need to go do something, I'll be fine on my own. I dont need supervision." Jack said with a small smile on his lips. Magic The Doctor smiled and looked at him, “I’ll be fine, You look too comfortable there for me to move.” He was calm seeming. Even if he had things to do he would put them off till later as Jack seemed very comfortable where he was. The Doctor didn’t have it in him to move when Jack was comfortable and getting tired where he was resting. “Just sleep if you need Jack.” He was sure that If he too got comfortable that he would fall asleep. Jazz "I will admit that i am but if you need to go do something, I am fine with that." Harkness told the Time Lord that he was snuggling with. But it seemed that the Doctor would be hell bent on just laying there and letting him be comfortable. Jack took a deep breath, letting himself relax. There was a moments silence. A comfortable silence. Within those moments Jack had been thinking. "I'm surprised, Doctor." He started off to break the silence. "You're actually staying in one spot for so long." Magic “That’s good if you are comfortable, Its hard to get comfortable when you are not feeling well, so I am fine not moving.” He was smiling at him, He liked it that Jack was relaxed, he knew that would be better than he being miserable and uncomfortable. He needed to help Jack get well and if staying still so he could relax helped, he didn’t mind. He looked at Jack “Yeah I know usually I don’t but for an ill friend its not so much of a big deal, I won’t die of boredom.” He was always willing to do anything for his friends really. He stroked Jacks hair. “Plus you had laid there comforting me last time, when I was very ill and crying , even if I was blushing you had lain that close without asking if It was ok then.” He asked. He smiled more. Jazz Jack nodded slowly, and smiled. That he remembered well and then, he trying to do what was right and make him comfortable then. "It was because you were being stubborn and denying that you needed comfort when you were trying to get me to comfort you." He said slowly as he felt the Time Lord's fingers through his hair. Harkness slowly became limp and was breathing easy and even, seeming to have fallen asleep not soon after. Magic The Doctor just smiled seeing Jack had fallen asleep when they were talking, he tucked the blankets around him more, he continued to run his fingers through Jacks hair, he knew Jack liked it, he closed his eyes relaxing and he hummed softly. “Just rest Jack.” He whispered , he knew that he would just fall asleep comforting Jack again. The Time Lord hardly relaxed and lazed around like this either. But he knew that he would have to relax if he was looking after Jack, he closed his eyes and slept. Jazz 3 days later... Captain Jack Harkness had been sick inside the TARDIS and with the Doctor for the remainder of his time being sick. It was a steady progress but all had been going well with Jack since he had been in the Time Lord's care. His temperature broken and recovering, the immortal had been coughing less, eating more, and able to get out of bed, but having to stay in the TARDIS. There were times he had thrown up, coughed to the point of throwing up, or just felt terrible because of said sickness but it all went away with time. The funny thing about this was that not only did Jack enjoy the Doctor's company, but noticed how he had been feeling toward him while he was sick. Having no idea if it had been a sickness thing but Harkness almost wanted to question the Doctor for being so close. He knew one reason. But there must have been another that Jack wasn't seeing. He had just left it alone. let the answers come to him and see what to with said answers from there. Waking up at one point in the TARDIS, Jack Harkness had slept in his bed rather peacefully, stretching while still laying down. Looking around a bit, Harkness almost wanted to go back to bed, feeling as if he didnt get enough sleep. Magic The Doctor had worried a lot over that time , especially the times the Jack had been feeling so bad that he was throwing up, he though had not slept and would just watch over him to make sure nothing went wrong and he would bring him water and ginger ale and anything he could to make sure Jack was feeling better. He didn’t care if he had to sit there rubbing his back or holding the bucket for him, he just seemed to be really caring towards Jack during that time. He knew he was staring to get feelings for Jack though, he had decided to not talk about it when Jack was sick. He was glad when Jack had started to feel better, it had meant he was more relaxed. Though he had kept a close eye on the immortal. He knew he was worrying too much, but Jack was his friend and he hated to see him suffering. On the morning of the third day the Time Lord was sleeping, he had his head under the covers, He had only barely just got around to sleeping since Jack was recovering. When he did finally wake up that day he stretched and looked around. “Morning Jack.” He had no clue that when he did wake that it was nearly midday. JAzz Jack thought that being under the covers would be a wonderful idea, seeing as how the Doctor had been taking care of him day in and day out. The Doctor cared and Jack owed him so much for it. Now that, he was awake and just laying there, Jack noticed the body next to him move to see the Doctor that had poked his head out from under the blanket. "Morning Doctor. Manage to get any decent sleep?" He asked, feeling quite guilty for having the Doctor worry so much as he did. Hopefully he could possibly encourage the Time Lord to get some more sleep. Magic The Doctor was looking at him, he seemed a bit half asleep “Mmm yeah.” He looked at him and blushed a little. He really needed to tell him. He was comfortable under all the blankets, he knew Jack would worry if he missed too much more sleep, but he had been unable to help it as he really cared about Jack. He smiled a bit, at least he had gotten some sleep which was better than the last few days. He lay his head on Jack’s chest. He felt too lazy to move right this moment. “Jack… I need to tell you… something,” He was blushing. “I think I love you.” Jazz Jack could understand the Doctor's laziness with the fact of the 3 day without much or any sleep at all. Glancing down to see the Doctor resting his head on the Imortal's chest. He smiled softly, an arm rest softly on his back and rubbed the Time Lord's back. When the Doctor spoke, jack was honestly curious as to what the Doctor wanted to tell him. However there was one thing that Jack hadnt expected. And what had been said now was the one thing he would never expect. This indeed made the immortal blush. Surprised of what the Doctor actually said. His eyes looking at the Doctor with astonishment, Jack was speechless for all he could do to respond was hug the Doctor tightly before he finally found his voice. "I love you Doctor. I have always loved you..." Magic The Doctor smiled and looked at him. He chuckled softly “Wow I made Jack Harkness blush and go speechless.” He teased, He felt comforted with Jack rubbing his back. He looked pleased that Jack still loved him. “I was hoping you still loved me,” He leaned forward and kissed him, He closed his eyes. He had been wanting to do that for days. He didn’t seem to have to even think about it. Jazz Harkness smiled managed to chuckle when the Doctor teased him. What made his smile grow was the comment the Doctor said with the addition of a kiss. His eyes closed as he felt the sweet bliss when they kissed that he had never felt before when he had kissed anyone else. It was the same sweet that occurred when he kissed the Doctor back on the game station while in his ninth incarnation. But back then, he wouldn't mention it then because of the circumstances. Jack wrapped his arm around the Time Lords waist, sliding the man up so they wouldn't be in an awkward position. Breaking the kiss between them, Jack opened his eyes slowly, looking into the eyes of the Time Lord he come to love and waited for all this time. "I love you." Magic The Doctor was looking at him. He seemed very relaxed. He sometimes liked a chance to relax when he was tired and had too much going on. The Doctor snuggled with Jack and kissed him, when they pulled back he was blushing. This time he had enjoyed the kiss, last time back on the game station he had been unsure and felt akward, but this time, he was ok with it. He had his arms around Jack. He finally felt like he wasn’t going to be lonely. He had been crying a bit in his sleep last night though. “Love you too,” he held onto him closing eyes. Man he was tired. Jazz Smiling, Jack touched his forehead to the Time Lord's, smiling as he closed his eyes again for a moment. "Try and get some sleep Doctor. I'm gonna go take a bath." Jack told him before kissing his forehead before sadly separating himself from the Doctor. He didn't want to but he felt like the bath would do him loads of good since he was bed ridden 3 days ago. Grabbing some clothes and going to the bathroom and starts up the shower. He makes sure that the water is hot, wanting to relax his body and muscles from the stress of being sick. Stripping off his clothes and getting into the shower. Standing there, Jack sighs with relief as he felt the hot water hit his body and relax him. Staying in the shower for about an hour, Jack had washed up, got out, dried off and got dressed. The Doctor was looking at him. He knew he was tired. The Time Lord was exhausted in fact. Looking after Jack the way he had without sleeping much had taken its toll on the time lord. But looking after Jack had been worth it. He knew that Jack would have been more miserable without his care and could have been sick much longer. He didn't want Jack to be feeling miserable. It was his pleasure to do anything he could to make Jack feel better. He would have felt guilty if he had left Jack on his own when he was ill. "I... alright." He had been about to protest about getting some sleep. He really didn't want to all that much. He just knew that he needed it. He was very tired. After Jack had left for a bath the time lord was deeply asleep curled up in the blankets. The Doctor really needed to catch up on his sleep, He didn't want to end up unwell.
