Tyrian "Iris" Irisia

Somehow, Iris expected that he would be following her. The moment she told him that she knew where the dining hall was he would follow her. Luckily enough he managed to stay quiet once he realized that it was not up for conversation. Once they arrived at the hall she realized just how famished she was. Iris said her goodbye to Moss and wished him luck tomorrow, and then promptly ditched him for food. The rest of the night went smoothly. Dinner was good, she had a nice and hefty meal. Afterwards she went to change for the night, to the great hall to sleep, and then spent a few moments to herself thinking about her future at the academy.

When the sun was coming up Iris had already been awake. There were others like her, some went to eat breakfast and some had the same ideas as her. She went for a quick run around the hall, stretched her muscles, and flexed her semblance. Once she got her blood pumping, she went to grab a slice of bread with toast, and went to the showers. While walking to the lockers she heard Ms. Goodwitch over the announcement saying they should head to Beacon Cliff for their initiation. With a spring in her step she rushed to the lockers, made herself up, and took out her weapon Rzeznik.

She was one of the few who arrive there early; she wasn’t the first though which was kind of annoying. Everyone stood in a line with their gear all set up and their weapon at the ready. There were familiar faces, people she saw yesterday for the first time. The loud people were there too. Moss was there too, one person away, which gave her a sense of relief. He made it, good for him. She half expected that Moss would be missing or something.

She listened intently to Professor Ozpin. She could not tell what he was feeling; he was a very mysterious man which bothered Iris. It was a matter of trust versus no trust to her. He was known for being eccentric and wise, but still she had her doubts. The partnering method was a point of interest; she knew that they were going with Random Assignment, but not this random. Then she realized the implications of this test. It was not random at all. They were to track down whom they wanted to be partnered with and then find them in the forest.

Iris’s sense of dread was broken by the sound of screaming. The students launching into the sky decorated the horizon like birds some were elegant about it and looked composed. From what she could tell there were some who were not taking this situation lightly, she hoped none of them would die so early. The reputation of Beacon’s student assessment would have sorted out those who can between those who cannot so chances are most would be okay.

Iris readies Rzeznik in her right, a single dust crystal in her left Iris readied herself. The moment she felt the iron plate push her upward she moved left her hands hanging to her sides to increase speed. Iris figured that the further she went the close she will get to the relics. The wind pushed against her face she closed her eyes and experienced the familiar sensation of flight.

It was a few seconds before she realized she had made some distance between her and the launching pads. She moved both hands forward readying them for landing. To her one-o-clock, she could see a small clearing between trees. Deciding that it was the best place for landing she spun Rzeznik clockwise and shot out a green ball of energy down to the clearing, it exploded upon contact and released a green wave of wind energy. She switched her position to gather the most air and activated her Semblance. Once Cloud activated itself she could her body lighten. It was like a parachute had been opened carrying her gently down like a feather. Elegant and gentle she floated down to the open clearing. “Success” Iris exclaimed.
