[b]Personality[/b]: [i]His best friend Charlotte often describes Makoto as 'delicate' to say the least. He is rather shy, reserved and polite. He has a habit of fidgeting about with anything he can get his hands on when he's nervous. He doesn't enjoy being scolded or talked to in a threatening tone and often has to fight back tears when others comment on his wrongdoings. He's a very skittish person, trusting others very little (Charlotte being an exception to this, of coarse). Stepping outside of his comfort zone isn't something he does very often, but his feelings for Charlotte are strong enough to grant him courage to stand beside her in the face of hardships.

Makoto is surprisingly intelligent for his age. He has an incredibly logical train of thought, able to think of many different ways to approach a situation faster than most. He lacks confidence in his own abilities, despite Charlotte's constant reassurance and belief in his abilities. Makoto secretly has feelings for Charlotte, which she is completely oblivious to.[/i]

[i]Makoto stands at 5'3" and weighs about 57kg, giving him a very tiny, childish stature. He's hardly the intimidating type. His light, smoky blue hair is messy and somewhat wild. His eyes match his hair, oddly enough, and are framed by a pair of red glasses. He usually wears a blue and white tracksuit with a white t-shirt underneath. [b]History[/b]: [i]Makoto grew up in a very small fishing town in a family with four elder brothers. Being the youngest, he was constantly the victim of his siblings torment. They meant him no harm of coarse, but being teased day in and day out did cause the young boy to slink back into his shell and become quite shy. When Makoto began attending school, his odd quietness disturbed the other students and he soon became a victim of bullying throughout his school life. Despite it all, he still managed to achieve very high results in school, quite clever for such a young boy.

Years later, still a high achiever without companions, a girl named Charlotte transferred into Makoto's school. She was oddly spirited for such a young girl; very outgoing and instantly popular among her peers. Makoto was slightly jealous, but it didn't bother him. She didn't seem like someone who would be interested in him. He was wrong about this. Charlotte had taken an unusual investment in his silence and made every effort to crack through his shell. Despite his best efforts to avoid her attempts at getting closer, Makoto soon found himself growing fond of the odd girl. Soon the two of them became friends and Makoto found himself hanging out with her before, during and after school and even on weekends. Truly they became inseparable. Makoto helped her with homework and assignments, and in exchange Charlotte helped introduce him to a bunch of his other classmates who he had been distant from. With Charlotte, he even began studying the Healing Arts. Charlotte was helping him take the first few steps to growing into a confident person.

One night out of the blue while Makoto slept, there was a tapping sound at his window. When he inspected what it was, he saw Charlotte standing below in his garden. Going out to meet her, he was surprised to see that she was crying. Without hesitation, Charlotte embraced Makoto and told him that she had to leave; that she couldn't stand being here any longer and that she was going to go find her own way in the world. Heartbroken that the girl he had come to love was about to leave him, Makoto instantly took up the opportunity to travel with her. He left a note for his family, packed his bags and left everything he had known behind to accompany his best friend; not caring where the two of them were going.[/i][/hider]

She cares deeply for others, including adversaries; understanding that sometimes we all lose our way.

She's a little bit of a rebellious firecracker. She despises taking orders, probably due to her strict upbringing, and always questions the decisions of higher ups. She has a bad habit of ignoring the concept of personal space, much to the discomfort of others. She's very protective of Makoto, refusing to let others bully him.[/i]

[b]History[/b]: [i]Charlotte grew up in a very strict household. As the only child of the prestigious Blackwood family, she was expected to be a lady in every regards. Once her family was very well known and rich, but after the collapse of their businesses they became commoners. Charlotte wasn't born when that happened, so she knows not of the extravagant lifestyle that her parents once lived. Despite this, she was expected to be molded into a perfect child to give away to some other families son and establish a link between the two houses. Ever since she was little, she had made it her goal to renounce this. She was rebellious and free spirited, to the point where her mother had to keep her locked inside for most hours of the day. When it was time for her to start school, she was already 2 years behind. Being the oldest in her class was uncomfortable, but she fit in quite well. It helped that she was also a magician, trained by her father vigorously.

She grew close to a boy named Makoto and they became best friends; spending most of their free time together. Makoto's home became her true home in a sense, as his family was very welcoming of her. Everything was fine, until her parents told her that a suitor had been found for her to marry in a foreign land. Demanding that she leave everything she held dear behind, she grew angry and argued with her parents. Seeing that she was getting nowhere with them, she packed her bags and slipped out to find Makoto. She told him that she had to run away, and to her surprise the shy, timid boy agreed to go with her. Now the two of them roam the country, looking for a new place to call home.[/i][/hider]
