Fury’s grunted as the armour and shielding of his right shoulder took the brunt of the knee blocking the path into Kanitah’s stomach. Fury was adept at mastering his pain however, especially when his rage began to get the better of him, and by his reckoning he was still somewhat functional. With only one leg on the ground Fury could far more quickly sweep Kanitah off his one remaining foot with his right hand, and Fury pushed his head as close to Kanitah’s right side as possible despite the obstructive presence of his knee. This helped protect him from Kanitah, who tried to rain a blow down upon him but was slowed somewhat by Fury’s energy blasts, giving the Fireen time to complete his takedown slightly more messily than he had hoped. Kanitah fell and Fury landed on top of him side on, so they formed a sort of humanoid cross. With side control quickly maintained Fury slipped forward and then leftward, bringing his right elbow up to ram it into the left side of Kanitah’s chin and hopefully daze him while he tried to keep him locked down with his left arm.
